Challenge Contracts
The Contract specific challenges are as follows:
- The enemies have turned into beasts! The Katana dudes wreck, the Militants refuse to die, and the Casters are dicks. We have to find ways to block what we need to block, not block what we need to not block, and have very high dps.
The strategy I'll use in this guide is crowd control and dps, while spot-blocking the Casters.
Recommended Team Composition
- 2 Skill-Recovery or Utility Vanguards, V1 and V2
- 3 Slower Supporter, Su1-Su3
- 1 ST Sniper, S1
- 2 ST Casters, C1 and C2
- 1 Control Specialist, Sp1
- 1 Medic, M1
- 1 Fast-Redeploy Specialst, Sp2
- 1 Healing Defender, D1
Here is an example of the team I used:
Deployment
Unit placement can be seen in the image below, and deployment order should be done exactly as presented. Each Operator can be placed as soon as there is sufficient DP.
Deployment Order:
- V1: Myrtle - Utility Vanguard
- V2: Texas - Skill-DP-Recovery Vanguard
- S1: Platinum - Anti-Air Sniper
- Su1: Glaucus - Slower Supporter
- Su2: Istina - Slower Supporter
- Su3: Angelina - Slower Supporter
- C1: Eyjafjalla - ST Caster
- C2: Amiya - ST Caster
- Sp1: Manticore - Control Specialst
We are now at our Deploy Limit and our formation should look like this:
Next we'll retreat V1 and V2, and deploy M1: Silence - ST Medic.
Whenever a Caster emerges from the lower right hand corner, B11, we'll drop our Sp2: Gravel - Fast Redeploy Specialist to block it at B9. Once the Caster is dead, we'll retreat her until the next Caster spawn. When tanking a Caster it will look like this:
When the first Red Katana Dude gets to the lower right , we'll have a situation where a Caster emerges from the lower right exit and the upper left exit (g1) at roughly the same time. It is much easier to handle if we can catch the upper left caster before he reaches the G6 grid. So, what we'll do is deploy our D1: Healing Defender the lower right to block the Caster there (just make sure the Caster has left the exit so our dps can hit it). Then we'll retreat our M1 and deploy our Sp2 in the upper left to catch the Caster there. When our Sp1 dies, we can redeploy our Vanguards to delay the Caster as long as possible, or in the best cast kill it. That looks like this:
- Skill timing is quite important to maximize our crowd control and dps at the right times. You can see an example in the companion video below.
Enjoy your rewards!
