RIIC Base Skills
Quick Evaluation
+ Talents: when skills are active her attacks have a chance to crit which deals large AOE damage. Her drones ignore a decent amount of enemy RES which can be a significant boost in damage against high RES enemies.
+ Great with buffs. Flat ATK buffs like Skadi Alter will have a huge impact on her overall stats and benefit well from the high damage multipliers. ASPD buffs greatly aid her Trait damage increase and talent explosion damage.
+ Extremely useful in modes where buffs are accessible: Integrated strategies and Stationary Security Service.
+ S2: A decent afk DPS skill if you plan to leave Goldenglow on the field for a while. A good skill for annihilation mode and for taking down the more durable elite mobs. The increased range can be useful as it provides a unique attack coverage for a caster unit.
+ S3: The bread and butter skill for Goldenglow, it provides map-wide crowd control and damage to shut down difficult enemies before they have a chance to get close. Since it targets enemies closest to the protection objective it can also be useful in catching enemies that make it past defenses.
- S2: It takes quite a while to charge up, and while it has good coverage the damage can be quite mediocre if you aren't fighting tanky enemies that allow you to build up your drone damage
- S3: Since it targets the closest enemies to the objective, it can easily swap targets and lose out on some of the buildup damage.
Operator Overview
The long-awaited Pink Korone arrives!! At last, Pink Doggo is here—wait, what do you mean “she’s a cat”?
Goldenglow (whose design is based on a Scottish Fold cat, thus the ears) is a hapless hairdresser who contracted Oripathy while trying to work as a Catastrophe Messenger. The sixth child in her large family, Goldenglow didn’t want to put the financial burden of her disease on her widowed mother, so she joined Rhodes Island as a beautician (presumably working under Roberta). However, Goldenglow’s Originium Arts are shockingly strong (pun intended), and she was eventually moved to work as a 6* Mech-Accord Caster whose multiple drones go all out with expanded range… at least until they explode into AoE damage.
That’s right: explode. Thanks to Goldenglow’s Beacon’s Wrath Talent, her drones have a chance to explode while her Skills are active, inflicting massive AoE Arts damage. Fortunately, the exploded drone instantly returns, ready to go out once more and wreak havoc. The explosion damage is further enhanced by her E2 Talent, Precise Redirection, which causes Goldenglow and her drones to ignore a flat amount of enemy RES.
All three of Goldenglow’s Skills enable this drone destruction, to devastating results. The Scattering Sparks S1 gives Goldenglow one extra drone and increases her ATK and ASPD, making it simple and effective for quick skirmishes. Her S2, Surging Current, takes longer to charge but is a permanent Skill that gives Goldenglow one extra drone, bonus ATK, and an expanded attack range. It can be quite good for prolonged engagements, such as Annihilation maps. However, blowing both of these Skills out of the water is the Crystalline Shine S3. Goldenglow herself stops attacking, but she gains two extra drones and global attack range, along with a large ATK buff. Pop this Skill and Goldenglow’s electric crystals will zap around the battlefield, striking from every direction, exploding everywhere, and leaving complete destruction in their wake. To top it off, the drones will Slow enemies they attack for the Skill duration. (Assuming any enemies are surviving the explosions, that is.)
Goldenglow’s amateur status and lack of control does result in some weaknesses. Most noticeably, her explosion mechanic can actually hurt her damage potential. The drones of Mech-Accord Casters deal more damage the longer they spend attacking the same target. Goldenglow’s drones do preserve their damage bonus after they explode, but only if they return to attacking the same target. If a different enemy has become Goldenglow’s priority in the interim, the drones will reset their damage buff, even if the first enemy is still alive! Her S3 is particularly susceptible to this, between the global range and the Slow effect.
So Goldenglow’s targeting can be screwy. How much does this hold back her performance? In truth, not much at all! While Goldenglow’s power can be difficult to control, the power of her explosions and the utility of her infinite range makes her one of the strongest Casters we’ve seen in a long time. It’s a good thing she does free haircuts, though. Repeated application of S3 may result in the rest of your Operators getting unexpectedly frizzy hair.
Newbie Tier List Explanation
A decent damage-oriented kit for new players with AoE elements and relatively low maintenance. The long S2 activation time limits its usefulness on normal stages, but the extended range and low maintenance will be very useful for early-game Annihilation stages.
Skill Discussion
S3M3 | S+ | S | S++ | |
S2M3 | A | B | B |
Goldenglow's go to skill is her S3 thanks to its extremely strong burst and rare global range (the first global range skill with no condition or targeting priority). It has important Mastery gains as well thanks to a fairly high attack multiplier that applies to all of her drones (both their base attack and their explosion damage) which makes it a high priority Mastery on one of the strongest units in the game.
Her S2 makes an excellent alternative for when the global range isn't necessary (and you can afford the wind up time of course). It is the go to skill in longer stages, especially in the SSS mode (counted under the Story grade here). However it has fairly weak Mastery gains with no improvements to the wind-up time and somewhat small Attack gains for an infinite duration skill. Additionally her S3 has fairly short downtime for a skill of its power which drives S2 to be relatively more niche. Goldenglow is so powerful that she is worth the M6, but her S2 has much lower priority and doesn't at all need to be rushed.
It's worth noting her S1 since it has absolutely massive single target DPS. It even out paces Ceobe against all but the highest armor enemies and can often even still perform better overall in those cases thanks to a much shorter cycletime and built in RES shred. However it ultimately remains ungraded since the situations it is better than S2 or S3 (or another operator like Surtr) are very small. It has good gains and a niche so it's something to consider to maximize waifu, but for most players S3 will cover the same needs as S1 already.

Archive File 1
Increase Trust to 50.After foiling a Caladon city councilor's plot, she was jointly recommended by Operators Quercus, Grani and Bitter Root. Upon passing the tests, she was taken in as a Rhodes Island Logistics Operator. Her main vocation is as a hairdresser, responsible for providing the Rhodes Island landship's operators and visitors with hairstyling services. At the same time, and at her own suggestion, a reserve Caster Operator course has been prepared for her to further explore, control, and stabilize her Originium Arts potential.
Archive File 2
Increase Trust to 100.Addressing the root issue calls for starting from the beginning: systematically learning the relevant theory on Arts usage. Currently, Goldenglow attends a classroom with a group of reserve Casters and children aboard the Island, reviewing, learning, and revising. For her, it's both strange and refreshing, and she's willing to commit to it. On top of which, she wholeheartedly looks forward to her achievements to come.
Her life is full of hope.
Archive File 3
Increase Trust to 150.Goldenglow met her family once again. And standing right at the front: an exhausted, fretful, and resolutely determined Feline woman.
Her dear mother.
Archive File 4
Increase Trust to 200.On returning to the dormitories, she gave her mother a simple rundown of her situation at Rhodes Island, who remained skeptical of the organization. However, thanks to how they'd been treated so far and hearing it from her girl's own mouth, a weight finally fell from Mrs. Glitter's mind, and she immediately instructed her other children to bring out the local specialties they'd brought. Since Mrs. Glitter had eight children with her (not counting Goldenglow herself!), and each one had brought plenty of gifts for the journey, Goldenglow's dormitory was practically filled with a mountain of boxes. At her earnest pleading, HR made an exception and accepted some of the gifts themselves, until they too were drowned in boxes, and all the dormitories' operators became new targets.
As evening fell, the riot the family created finally wound down. Rhodes Island provided temporary dormitories for its visitors, and Goldenglow finally had time for a heart-to-heart with her mother.
After her daughter's departure, Mrs. Glitter had found a higher-paying job, and as all her children gradually came of age, they'd properly begun to work and supplement the family income too. Though still far from well-off, the family finally had some money set aside, and could support their daughter's treatment costs. Before leaving, Mrs. Glitter contemplated bringing Goldenglow back home—after all, the two had a deep mother-daughter bond, and she wasn't going to see her daughter suffering out there. However, after taking in Rhodes Island's practical circumstances and hearing her daughter recount her experiences over the past few years, Mrs. Glitter decided to respect her daughter's wishes, and let her expand her horizons freely aboard Rhodes Island.
Mrs. Glitter is fully aware that Rhodes Island can provide what Victoria cannot, and that her daughter is unwilling to abandon this opportunity.
And so, after obtaining her family's approval, Goldenglow officially decided on her own goals. She would work and study aboard Rhodes Island, and with that as the crux, imagine her future prospects with vast, wild abandon.
Though this land remains grey, at least what Susie Glitter sees in this moment is a clear, sparkling future.
Promotion Record
Upgrade to Elite LV2.'I thought about it carefully, and I think, it was probably the sight of Susie that evening, crackling all over. Left quite an impression on me.'
'It really was the first time I'd seen such... wrath.'
'A sort of unloading, a kind of hurt, a kind of sorrow.'
'*sigh*... The weight of the world on my little shop girl's shoulders...'
'It's lucky Rhodes Island could help her move on from all her past trials. It's about time we let her live a proper life now.'
'You'd say just as well she's a dab hand with hairdressing, wouldn't you.'
'Oh, mind it, we've gotten sidetracked. Do you want some dried fruit?'
'I know, I know. Look, I'm putting my serious face on right now. Getting my serious words together.'
'Ahem.'
'Su—erm. Goldenglow's very cheerful, and very easy to get along with. She's diligent in what she does, and lives life earnestly.'
'Though fate's always out to throw her into the fire—and it's tried several times—she's still by our sides, still the same darling, and that in itself explains plenty of questions.'
'The whole affair in Caladon left no small shadow lurking in her heart, and to this day you can stand by her side, and sense the aftermath of that state of mind, that burst of Arts.'
'Her static, of course! Have you never been shocked before? You're not sure? Oh...'
'Well, it's like when you're warm next to Skyfire, or cold next to Santalla. It's the sort of thing that only shows in people with extreme Originium Arts assimilation, usually.'
'In time, mark my words, she'll become a mighty Caster.'
'However, before Rhodes Island looks to foster her as a Caster, it's my own hope we make clear what her true wish is.'
'If her dream is to become an outstanding hairdresser, like her father...'
'Then once she learns to rein in her own static, I imagine we'd have to request her further opinion then.'
'Will she be a Caster? Or will she treat studying the use of Arts as a form of hobby?'
'Or suppose, perhaps, that's as deep as she'll delve, and she'll turn her efforts to hairdressing, or maybe bartending, for the rest of her days?'
'That's not something for Rhodes Island to decide for her.'
'Even if she's unusually talented.'
