Clear 5 operations with Dobermann (Dobermann cannot be a Support Unit); only 3-star operators are allowed for the remaining units |
Clear Main Theme 1-12 with a 3-star rating; a non-Support Dobermann must be deployed during the operation and only 3-star operators are allowed for the remaining units |
RIIC Base Skills
Quick Evaluation
+ Low deploy cost
- Her buffs on their own aren't strong, and having them apply only to 3* makes her use very limited
- Weak skills
- below average ATK
Operator Overview
“No slacking off!”
Instructor, interrogator, and notoriously incapable of expressing her emotions, Dobermann is the primary drill instructor for new Rhodes Island Operators. She is no stranger to the battlefield, where she is deployed as a 4* Support Guard with a 2-grid frontal attack range. In keeping with her job in Rhodes Island, she takes an interesting Support role on the field, where she enhances the performance of 3* Operators.
Dobermann’s support comes from her Talent, Starter Instructor, which buffs the ATK of all 3* Operators on the field. She doubles down on this with her Skill 2, Spur, a manual Skill that increases her own ATK and multiplies the effect of her Talent for the duration. Many Doctors ignore their 3* Operators once they have a few 6*s to focus on, but with Dobermann’s guidance, low-rarity Operators like Melantha, Kroos, and Midnight can be a force to be reckoned with.
If you’re not leaning into her drill instructor gimmick, Dobermann loses some of her luster. Her low Deployment Cost is welcome, but her stats are not very impressive, and her Talent has no benefit if you don’t deploy 3*s with her. (Note that, as a 4* unit, Dobermann herself is not buffed by Starter Instructor.) Even if you are using her to lead a squad of 3* units, Spur has a high SP cost and a comparatively short duration, so it won’t have much up-time. Dobermann is more fun than she is necessary, but she does enable some exciting, low-investment strategies that would never succeed without her.
Newbie Tier List Explanation
For meme 3-star clears only.
Skill Discussion
S2M3 | None |
Note: This unit does not have Mastery grades. This means the unit is generally not one worth spending the resources of Mastery on. However this write-up should help with skill selection, should you want to use the unit regardless.
If you're using Dobermann, you probably don't need my advice. Just in case, though, you shouldn't be using her. Her buff only works on already weak units, and there are better standalone fighters. If you insist, the best skill option depends on what you're doing; S2 for the 3★ meme comps and S1 for her own DPS.
Module Analysis
Operator Impact: Low/NO
Meta Use: Low
Explanation: This module neither addresses her weaknesses nor accentuates her strengths. Her Archetype is already rather forgiving with placement due to the extended attack range, and if you are using Dobermann at all it is likely with a 3★ team, so Midnight is the only ranged melee that could potentially compete for a deployment spot (and since his range is longer, both can be used in the same lane if there are enough spots). The damage increase from the stat boost is small, so this Module will usually make no difference at all.

Archive File 1
Increase Trust to 50.Every new Operator joining Rhodes Island must endure Dobermann's 'welcome,' regardless of what glorious background they may come from. Even the rowdiest, most unruly recruit falls in line after her boot camp.
Archive File 2
Increase Trust to 100.Nearly all of these officers were once low-level Operators taught by Dobermann herself and hand-picked through a rigorous process. It's not an exaggeration to say they have the island's future on their shoulders.
Archive File 3
Increase Trust to 150.At the same time, however, Dobermann cares about each Operator's diet, physical condition and even emotional state. She has never forced anyone to do more than what they were capable of doing. It's just that her commitment is a bit too subtle.
Naturally, this stems from Dobermann's inability to properly express herself. Hopefully more people will come to understand her.
Voice Lines
Appointed as Assistant | Doctor, are the new recruits keeping up with my basic training regimen? |
---|---|
Talk 1 | A balanced, regular diet is also an important part of daily training. Any complainers get fifty laps around the deck. |
Talk 2 | As a military instructor, it's important to achieve the perfect balance between strictness and leniency. To be honest... I may be a bit too hard on Fang... |
Talk 3 | When putting your Operators into squads, it's crucial to assign them positions where they can exercise their skills to the fullest. It's true that Operators' ability is important, what's really being tested here is your judgement. |
Talk after Promotion 1 | Doctor, when training Operators, you need to work on spiritual fulfillment as much as improving their physiques and skills. After all, they need to be mentally strong enough to survive interrogations and all sorts of attacks on their minds. |
Talk after Promotion 2 | You're looking for the newbies? They're training out on the deck. Yes, I do realize what the weather's like right now. Of course I do. |
Talk after Trust Increase 1 | Anomalies... ha. You can never fool the eyes of the 'Hound'. |
Talk after Trust Increase 2 | If you believe that command allows you to slack off whenever you want, then I WILL correct your misconception, Doctor. |
Talk after Trust Increase 3 | If I hope to remain at your side through all the difficulties to come, I must be even harder on myself. After all, with the world around us being what it is... the only way we can keep it together is to keep training our mental strength. |
Idle | No slacking off! |
Onboard | Attention! I am Dobermann, former military instructor for the Bolívarian armed forces. Now, let's cut to the chase. Hand over the list of Operators in need of training. |
Watching Battle Record | This is how our training pays off. |
Promotion 1 | Promotion, huh? Thanks. I'm just doing my job. |
Promotion 2 | The responsibility for training the future of Rhodes Island is on my shoulders. I will do my best to be worthy of that responsibility. |
Added to Squad | Got it. |
Appointed as Squad Leader | Then show me the briefing docs for the mission. |
Depart | Calling all hands. This is not a drill! |

4-star Result | No matter the challenges we face, strong fundamental combat skills can mean the difference between life and death. |
3-star Result | Come back when you're less mediocre. |
Sub 3-star Result | The operation was successful, but we still have room for improvement. |
Operation Failure | We have failed. I am the one to blame. |
Assigned to Facility | The newbies are intimidated by me, you say? That's only natural. |
