Complete 5 operations and summon Scene's summoned units at least 5 times in each operation (Scene cannot be a Support Unit) |
Clear Main Theme 3-1 with a 3-star rating using a squad of at most 2 units (including Support Units); a non-Support Scene must be deployed during the operation and only Sniper operators are allowed for the remaining units |
RIIC Base Skills
Quick Evaluation
+ Drones have very low DP cost to summon and a 1 tile attack range, making them more viable as dps units compared to other summons like Meeboos or Tentacles.
+ S1: Allows drones to enter Stealth, which can be very useful in assassinating ranged enemies
+ S2: Gives Drones very high raw stats to duel most low-mid power enemies with ease. Also replenishes 1 drone with each use, so destroyed drones can be replenished, a feature not available to every Summoner.
+ Stealth detection is rare and her drones allow you to get stealth detection anywhere there's an open melee tile.
= Stealth detection is not needed for the vast majority of maps.
- Her drones require Deploy slots and DP that could be used for other Operators
Operator Overview
Scene is an extremely shy, quiet person who rarely speaks and takes half an hour to sign her name on paperwork. However, she’s also an incredibly artistic person with a great talent for photography, and she has created a squad of camera drones--the Buggy Cams--that are happy to do the talking for her. Scene’s Buggy Cams have not only helped her create many fine works of art, but they also work as a surveillance network on behalf of Rhodes Island, making Scene the first 5* Summoner Supporter in Arknights who focuses on revealing invisible enemies.
With her Talent, Camera Squad, Scene can deploy melee Block-1 “Buggy Cams” to the field. Buggy Cams cost 5 DP to deploy and reveal all stealthed or invisible enemies in the 8 grids surrounding them. Scene doesn’t want anything bad to happen to her cameras, and so both of her Skills involve buffing their performance. Her Skill 1, Protective Camouflage, is a slow-charging permanent buff that increases the ATK of all Buggy Cams and grants them the Camouflage buff, preventing them from being directly targeted by ranged enemies unless they are blocking. (After all, if you can’t beat invisibility, become invisible yourself, right?) Her Skill 2, Panoramic Overload, is a manually-activated buff. It offers an enormous ATK, DEF, and RES boost to all Buggy Cams, increases the range of their invisibility detection, and also adds a new Buggy Cam to Scene’s stash. This Skill offers the rare ability to replenish summons lost during battle and has pretty good uptime, but be warned that all Buggy Cams are Stunned for a few seconds after the Skill ends. If you’re relying on Scene’s drones to Block enemies, this Skill can backfire on you pretty severely.
Despite the fact that both of her Skills buff the ATK of her camera minions, Scene’s damage potential isn’t that high. Like most Summoner Operators, Scene’s own stats are quite low, and her Buggy Cams are much weaker than full-blown Operators. None of Scene’s Skills deal damage to enemies directly, and she also can’t buff fellow Operators—she only affects her Buggy Cams. This makes Scene a bit of a one-trick pony. However, her “one trick” is countering invisible enemies, and invisible enemies can be such a pain in the butt that it’s well worth having a unit dedicated to making their lives miserable.
Newbie Tier List Explanation
Probably the most new-player friendly Summoner, since she can restock destroyed drones and reveal invisible enemies.
Skill Discussion
S2M3 | B | A | A- |
Scene is an interesting unit as far as Summoners go, as she is the only one other than Ling (who is limited) who can recover her own summons if they die. On top of that she fills a niche neither Magallan or Mayer can by offering melee-focused summons that she directly buffs for longer on-field deployments (instead of blowing up). This makes her both more forgiving and more flexible, and thus the better choice for a majority of players looking to use a Summoner.
S2 is Scene's key skill since it is the one that gives her additional summons. She does not need Masteries to be effective since the main value is in the drone recovery, but S2M3 certainly helps, giving her summons big stats on a better uptime. It is sometimes asked if the increased cycle time is worth it (since it lengthens the drone recovery time) and the answer is yes. The loss in time is small and if drones die less, less drones need to be replaced!
Scene is often touted as a strong starter pick in the Roguelike mode since she is an easy to use unit that can carry many of the early floors on her own. However that role has waned quite a bit. Ling is far better, Deepcolor can do the same with her Module for less cost, and Mayer has more long term value in IS#3 due to her stun. She is still more than usable, especially at lower difficulties, but is no longer a recommended starting point.
Module Analysis
Operator Impact: Medium
Meta Use: Low
Explanation: If Mayer or Scene are being used in normal content, it is typically being done without expecting or needing them to be deployed along with a full team. Either they are being used to cheaply deploy multiple units early that will eventually be replaced by full Operators; their supply of replenishable deployables are being utilized; or they are being used to clear with fewer Operators in the squad. In these situations, the extra unit slot gained when their summons are deployed won't usually make much difference.
That being said, if you want to use them along with full teams or want to play Summoner-only runs, this Module will help make things easier/ more viable.
Base Skill Analysis
Buff gained from E2: Factory capacity limit is increased by +12 when producing Battle Records
Is it worth it? Maybe. If combined with Vermeil (who increases production based on capacity), Scene can contribute a LOT of productivity to a factory producing battle records. She is a solid Summoner Supporter, especially useful in Integrated Strategies, so many doctors may want to E2 her for gameplay purposes anyway.

'She seems to have been infected for a while now, but her Oripathy shows no signs of acceleration. I guess slow metabolism actually helps with that. However, even though there aren't any issues with her throat, I've never heard her talk. I wonder what the problem is.' —A new medic operator
Archive File 1
Increase Trust to 50.Even these adjectives aren't even particularly suitable. Operator Scene isn't just quiet and reserved, she doesn't speak at all.
As soon as she leaves her room, you could search every nook and cranny of Rhodes Island and never find her, so the only thing to do is to wait for her to return to her dorm.
This is when Scene's auxiliary equipment, 'Lens,' really comes in handy. Fortunately, her robotic buggy is rather clunky, and makes a lot of noise. As long as you recognize this sound, operators will be able to determine where Scene is.
Archive File 2
Increase Trust to 100.By combining cutting-edge photographic equipment with advanced all-terrain capabilities, this auxiliary robot team became the foundation of Scene's photography career.
Before Lens could even 'speak,' Scene came to regard Lens as her best friend, and for a completely silent person like Scene, making friends is not an easy task. Therefore, it is totally understandable that she would trust her work partner more than others.
However, Closure said one day that 'it's better to have someone who can talk with you,' and before Scene could refuse, Closure transformed Lens into a talking photography assistant.
According to Closure, Lens stands out from the crowd. 'It contains the previous generation of Raythean Industries' auxiliary AI. All I did was give the little guy a way to express itself. There's nothing wrong with it becoming Scene's friend. After all, nobody else can understand what Scene is thinking. What is Raythean Industries doing anyway? Even if these have been discontinued, you can't just go around selling off stuff like this. In any case, this thing is very, very rare.'
Because of this, many people believe that Lens's habit of long-windedness actually comes from Closure. Operators have occasionally reported seeing Lens communicating with Lancet-2 in the hallway, but could not figure out what the whirring and buzzing was all about. Perhaps its built-in thinking loop actually functions like this, but this quality was put on full display after the installation of a sound device. As for what goes on in the little brain of a robot, sometimes not even the owner knows.
Do you think that Miss Scene is ever troubled by... what happened to her old partner?
At least up until this point, I haven't received any requests from her to uninstall the sound device.
Archive File 3
Increase Trust to 150.The isolation she had suffered through in the classroom began to spread outwards into her social sphere. Even though she was born into a noble family in Sargon, Scene has hardly attained recognition from anyone, let alone the upper crust.
Of course, and this may be for other reasons, Scene seems to have been born with a natural insensitivity and was never put down by the harsh words of others. Even more fortunately, she found a job that she loved — Photography.
Very quickly, Scene amassed her own fame and wealth, along with everything else that came with it. However, she remains silent and, other than occasionally taking pictures of high-ranking officials, prefers to do her work away from the commotion of crowded areas.
While it is true that her shyness, almost 'mechanical' movements, and her statue-like postures when stationary have brought about social difficulties, these qualities have also been immense assets towards her photography career that ordinary people simply do not have.
Furthermore, if you are fortunate enough to see Scene working on her own robotic camera team, you might think that her usual behavior is just a result of not liking to expend energy.
Archive File 4
Increase Trust to 200.However, in order to catch the critical moment of the Catastrophe breaking, Scene was caught inside the Catastrophe and contracted Oripathy.
According to Lens's description, we have no idea whether Scene did this to let more people learn about Catastrophes, or if she just spellbound by the view. All we know is that she continued to stay there, weaving a masterful tale about the unfolding of a Catastrophe with her camera.
Regardless of what happened, at least Scene survived.
After Scene contracted Oripathy, her parents consulted several medical organizations and finally decided to send her to Rhodes Island for treatment; however, they've never contacted their daughter since then. In the face of the somewhat complicated political situation in Sargon, this kind of decision seems almost natural to some operators.
Scene herself also doesn't seem to mind. Or if she does, she hasn't told anyone.
It didn't take long before she started to apply for the qualifications to work in the field, and even wanted to accompany operators to the battlefield in order to shoot more images. This means that Scene may be involved in battle, and possibly even lose her life.
But she didn't let that dissuade her. Lens is very proud to say that the places they've been to have been far worse than what people in Rhodes Island can imagine, and the dangers they've encountered are far more terrifying than what they now are dealing with.
While Scene may have already honed her skills and be able to calmly face the doubts of others, another interpretation is that she might just be very dedicated to her trade. She believes that through her eyes and her lens, she can help others who are more sensitive to images than they are to words, just like her, see more and more of the world.
Scene very rarely says anything, but she did speak once with her dorm mates when discussing her family. She said, she believes in Lens, and deems the robot to be part of her family.
Also, she said that she believes in her parents. If her parents didn't love her, they never would've raised her in the way they did—
'Everything we are born with in life is meaningful, but you are the only one who can discover that meaning. As long as you'll go do it, we will support you.'
Even though Scene doesn't express it, she may perhaps be very happy now.
By the way, how did Closure manage to get a sample of Scene's voice to build Lens's audio library?!
......
What? Does Scene use Lens to speak for her sometimes?
Hmm, how do I know whether the one talking to me
is Lens,
or if it is actually Scene talking?
If I had to guess?
Let's see.......
Promotion Record
Upgrade to Elite LV2.'Just so everyone knows, Miss Scene is the person who has won the most accolades in the Four-Country Landscape Photography Group, consisting of Columbia, Bolívar, Sargon, and Victoria - by a wide margin as well.'
'I wanted to play a prank on her once, but I couldn't find her the entire day. She really is good at hiding.'
'You can't poke her cheeks though. She doesn't seem to mind it too much, but her buggy will get really upset. The thing slammed into me and sent me flying.'
'Every time I greet her, she never responds. However, her buggy will keep talking, which I find quite interesting.'
'She's the one who took the pictures in that photo album? Can you get an autograph for me?!'
'Bro, you'll have to get in line. She only gives out four a day.'
'Why's that?'
'Because each autograph takes her half an hour, and there are 12 people in line right now. What do you think?'
