Complete a total of 5 battles; You must deploy your own Tomimi, and unleash Gavial's Protection Plan at least 1 time in each battle |
Clear Side Story RI-2 with a 3-star rating; You must deploy your own Tomimi, and cannot include any other Caster Operators as members |
RIIC Base Skills
Quick Evaluation
+ S2: Potential to constantly stun slow attacking enemies and reset their attacks
= A niche ST Caster that deals heavy physical close-range damage with her Skills
- The reduced range on Skill use is extremely limiting
- S2 effect is RNG based and can cause problems if you are relying on her for DPS or Stuns
Operator Overview
“She could draw people to look directly into her eyes and wouldn't close her eyelids until the blazing flames dried them. That’s probably the type of shining person Gavial is. Oh yeah, I read that description earlier from a book, I thought it was good so I memorized it to use it myself later. It’s still appropriate in this situation, right?”
Tomimi considers herself Gavial’s best friend and biggest admirer, and when Gavial disregarded her pleas and went to join Rhodes Island, Tomimi decided to take drastic measures to keep her friend at home. Fortunately, the rocket launcher was unsuccessful, and so Tomimi changed her strategy: if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em! Now Tomimi works at Rhodes Island as a 5* ST Caster, transforming into a physical DPS unit whenever she activates her Skills.
The most distinctive feature of Tomimi is her Talent, Arts of the Wild. When Tomimi activates a Skill, this Talent changes her attack range, her attack type to Physical, and her ATK stat to “enormous.” Tomimi’s base ATK is nothing special, but at E2 with max Potential, her ATK more than doubles during a Skill, giving her one of the highest ATK stats in the game. So what do her Skills bring to the table? Her S1, Tribe Skill, is simply a massive ASPD buff; in conjunction with Arts of the Wild, Tomimi can crack skulls in record time. Her S2, Protection Plan for Gavial, is more of a grab-bag. While active, each of Tomimi’s attacks has a chance to Stun the target, deal bonus damage, or inflict splash damage on nearby enemies. Both Skills have quick charge times and respectable uptimes, which is important for maximizing Tomimi’s DPS.
A Caster who turns into a physical fighter is certainly an interesting change of pace, and Tomimi’s strong personal buffs allow her to dish out some impressive burst damage. She’s not ideal for all situations, though. Her DP cost is a little high, and since she is deployed on ranged grids and can’t Block, other Operators must be used to keep enemies in her small skill range. Protection Plan for Gavial is also unpredictable: it can trigger splash damage on a single target or deal bonus damage when you really needed the Stun instead. Perhaps the biggest question is: why use Tomimi when there are so many other Operators who can provide more reliable melee physical damage? The practical answer is, “Because Tomimi is a welfare Operator who can provide heavy physical damage from a Ranged grid.” The real answer is, “Because a crocodile hitting a slug with a stick is funny.”
Newbie Tier List Explanation
It might seem kind of cool that Tomimi's Skills transform her from a ranged Caster into a melee bludgeoner, but this makes it incredibly difficult to find good situations to use her.
Skill Discussion
S2M3 | None |
Note: This unit does not have Mastery grades. This means the unit is generally not one worth spending the resources of Mastery on. However this write-up should help with skill selection, should you want to use the unit regardless.
Tomimi has decent damage, but her restrictive range and RNG effects really hold her back, even before accounting for her competition. If you're willing to put up with these shortcomings, stick with S2. Mastery, importantly, eliminates the talent activation RNG, and the net damage and DPS end up being better than S1 regardless of variance.

She assumes the responsibilities of a Caster but often forgets that she is a Caster. Nevertheless, given her excellent performance on the battlefield, there are no plans to have her switch operator roles.

Increase Trust to 50.When Tomimi first applied to become an operator, some of the other operators in charge of the testing process initially were opposed to letting her become a Caster. In the eyes of Casters who have been trained under the theoretical framework of modern Originium Arts, Tomimi's use of Originium Arts is brutish and backwards, particularly her preference towards melee combat which runs contrary to what is typically required of Casters. When the testers gathered around to discuss their opinions, one interesting question was front and foremost:
'What's the difference between her and Gavial?'
'Gavial wouldn't actually force people.'
'I think that's only because she's too busy.'
'But ultimately, they decided to let Tomimi become a Caster, and in terms of her training policy, they did not ask her to conform to the standards of modern Casters and instead allowed her to implement her own fighting style. The reason is, after observing Tomimi's fighting style, they determined that there was some value in studying it. 'Injecting' your own Arts into a wand in order to fill it with lethal power is, from a certain perspective, an utterly fanciful notion. Casters themselves tend to be intellectually curious people as well. After acknowledging Tomimi's combat abilities, a small group of Casters adopted the belief that 'Casters ought to be physically strong.' They even began to hope that a new school of Originium Arts would form through Tomimi's growth— Of course, even if this was to succeed, that'll be some time in the future.

Increase Trust to 100.'My word, is there really no need to publish a book on Tomimi's antics? A movie would do fine too. They'd be smash hits for sure.'
'Keep going on about that, if you want Gavial to smack you.'
'Don't worry, the relevant parties are... a bit slow.'
'......'
'Um, in that case, I'll be counting on you for the script for the annual festival.'
'Change things up a little bit though. We'll get beaten up if they recognize themselves!'
'You got it. Just leave it to me. '

Then, she took out a list of books that often appeared on the bestseller lists of bookstores, mostly related to fashion, self-help, and management. Without a doubt, the contents of these books gave Tomimi some dubious directions when it came to her understanding of the real world. For example... she really tried to apply this corporate management system to the members of the 'Gavial's Will' tribe, demanding that everyone wear a uniform, shout slogans, and fight like a Lupo (note that she had no idea what a Lupo was prior to joining Rhodes Island). Though the tribe had no complaints due to Tomimi's abilities, after she left, everyone in the tribe quickly lapsed into their old, comfortable ways. With this in mind, the rocket launcher incident was probably inspired by one of these books.
Fortunately, Tomimi was able to pick up a number of practical life skills. She is already familiar with storing items in a limited space, an ability that has earned her the praise of dorm staff. In addition, she is proficient in the use of expedition tools, able to explore the wilds without assistance. Nor will she ever again make the mistake of getting trapped in a mine by accident and putting herself in danger. However, Rhodes Island is different from the hometown of her Acahualla tribe. Gone is the near-infinite space she had back there to store her various collectibles. Under Gavial's persuasion, she has begun to screen her treasures, keeping only the most valuable things in a backpack that she carries on her person.
All things considered, one cannot say that Tomimi is unintelligent, but rather, all her energy goes into the wrong areas.

Increase Trust to 200.By itself, this is not a bad thing, as the Archosaurus people are proud of having large tails.
But Tomimi's tail doesn't only grow longer, it also grows thicker.
As for the proper ideal of what a tail should be like, the Archosaurs themselves have not reached a consensus. The dispute betwen 'thick tails' and 'fine tails' still continues to this day.
Tomimi isn't invested in this issue and is perfectly fine with whatever size or length tail she may have, and Gavial is also in agreement.
Nevertheless, her tail is a bit heavy, and sometimes causes inconveniences in day-to-day life. Upon the Doctor's recommendation, Tomimi finally decided to use a tail clamp made especially for Archosaurus use.
People often hear Tomimi lamenting: 'When I was little, my tail was the same thickness as Gavial's. Why'd it end up growing so much more?'
Tomimi couldn't decide whether to keep her tail as it is or to grit her teeth and trim down on it.
On one hand, a thick tail is quite popular and can even bring some unexpected benefits on the battlefield. As a bonus, Gavial likes to squeeze it.
On the other hand, this tail sometimes poses inconveniences to others, and it may be difficult to find good-looking outfits that can accommodate such a large tail.
As a result, this question had been bothering Tomimi for a long time.
She needed someone to help her make the decision and implement her choice.
Who do you think that person was?

Appointed as Assistant | Gavial doesn't know how to do this kind of work, and nobody in the tribe thought to do this stuff either. So, that's why I'll do a little bit when I have the time. |
---|---|
Talk 1 | If there's no trainee nurse at the Medical Department, I can give it a try. I have some basic nursing knowledge. |
Talk 2 | Doctor, the pen seems to be out of ink. Ah, wait, please don't throw that out! If it's not too much to ask, um, could I hang onto that? |
Talk 3 | Rhodes Island can't dig underground? Are there no treasures underground? All the precious things are locked inside the rooms? That's too bad... |
Talk after Promotion 1 | My tail got longer again. If it keeps getting longer like this, other people will really start to reject me. Ugh... so upsetting. |
Talk after Promotion 2 | A big tail is something you're born with. Being strong and cool are things you're born with. Being smart is also something you're born with. Since we can't choose how we're born, let's just live life and embrace what makes us unique. Um, of course, if you can help me out every now and then, Doctor... that would be best. |
Talk after Trust Increase 1 | It's understandable that Gavial would skip work, but why would she skip a meal? Is there something bothering her to the point that it's sending her into hiding? No one seems to have noticed yet. I'm the only one who can save her! Ah, Doctor, there you are. Can you help me with something? |
Talk after Trust Increase 2 | Are you sure you want to see? I have a whole lot of stuff in my backpack. All right, I also haven't checked through everything in quite some time either. Um, let's take a look: a piece of amber wrapped in a leaf, a loose fang? A black crystal with a speck of blood... and a stack of signatures?! Doctor, that's as far as you can go! Stop right there! |
Talk after Trust Increase 3 | Someone who steals your gaze, making you not want to close your eyelids until the flames have burned your eyes from their sockets. You know, Gavial is the kind of person who shines just like this. Oh, by the way, I read that previous description in a book and thought it sounded pretty neat, so I memorized it so I could use it myself. |
Idle | Here's a dreamcatcher. I'll leave it over here. I hope you'll be able to have pure and peaceful dreams. |
Onboard | Hello, Doctor. Um, I'm not here to make trouble. I'm, uh, yeah. Here to study. Right, study. Since Gavial is over here, it wouldn't make sense for me to stay back home alone, right? |
Watching Battle Record | I, I think it'd be better to directly practice on the battlefield, right? |
Promotion 1 | Thank you for giving me such a pretty badge, Doctor. Huh? Oh, a promotion badge? Ah, um, uhhh... Am I really qualified to have this? |
Promotion 2 | I'll be worthy of this flag one day, I swear it. |
Added to Squad | Let me try learning some of your techniques. It'd be great if I could pick them up. |
Appointed as Squad Leader | You're leaving it to me? Really? |
Depart | Let's go. Fight. Mm, we're going to beat them up. |
Begin Operation | Wait, I'm not ready yet! |
