Arknights: JP Livestream Recap!

The JP Livestream confirmed what most people had already guessed: The next event will be [Gavial The Great Chief Returns], which was run on CN as last years summer event.

The event will start on 2/25, which means we'll have 1 week of dead time (is that the longest dead streak we've had so far on Global?!?).  The [Gavial The Great Chief Returns] event comes with new stages, shop, and missions.  The Event banner [Heart of Steel] features new Duelist Defender Eunectes (3 week run time), and all players will have a chance to acquire ST Caster Tomimi.  There will be new summer skins, and a new Furniture Theme.  More info on the main event can be found on the CN Event page, and I'll put together an event summary article soon.

Also announced is the coming of a new game mode, currently known as [Integrated Strategies].  Like on CN, the IS event will be called [Ceobe's Fungimist] and will run at the same time as the main [Gavial The Great Chief Returns].

[Integrated Strategies] is a  rogue-like game mode.  For each run of this mode, the player builds up a team from scratch using recruit permits supplied by the mode.  The team is strengthened by Relics that are collected along the way, as the player chooses 1 of many possible paths consisting of 8 different types of nodes.  Whether successfully completed or miserably failed, the player starts over and plays again, with the random events and items changing the path and experience every time.There is no Sanity required to play, and each run typically takes around 20-30 minutes.  It has its own reward ladder, which includes a certain skin that some players are hyped about...

For full details on how this mode works, you can see our [Integrated Strategies Explained!] page, but if you don't want to spoil yourself then there is no need to: The mode doesn't cost any sanity, and currency for the milestone is gained and kept no matter how well (or poorly) the player does.

Global players can heave a sigh of relief and rejoice!  Global WILL receive the 10 pull that CN was given for the "Thorns Mistake", only it will be for "celebrating 10 million downloads" instead!  What's in a name?  A 10 pull by any name would be as sweet!  

There was no mention of the Banner and skin reruns that CN was given as part of the apology as well.  Since Thorns ran for 3 weeks on global instead of the normal 2 weeks, and the [Heart of Steel] Banner with Eunectes will run for 3 weeks as well, it is pretty safe to assume that the longer banner runs are a replacement for the banner re-runs.
