What happened, why the confusion and the conclusion
The Arknights x Capcom collab was actually Monster Hunter by the way.
However, in the part that was introducing the new Relocation Algorithm mode, Devil May Cry V's main menu and title voice was in the background.
This led many people to think that there was actually going to be a Devil May Cry collab.
The same track can be heard in both videos.
After the stream, WanWanZi, a staff from Hypergryph, has confirmed that the DMCV music is a mistake made during the stream. So there is no Devil May Cry collab, despite how much people wanted it.
Translation:
Regarding everyone's feedback on the DMCV music during stream, after confirmation, the staff have mistakenly included DMCV music.
After confirming the problem, we have contacted Capcom immediately to explain the situation and apologize, the deal with the problem.
We have already changed the music file to the correct one and it will be uploaded afterwards.
It is regrettable that this kind of mistake happened in this carefully prepared celebration stream. At the same time, we have troubled everyone, and we are very sorry for this.
An unfortunate mistake that caused a lot of confusion. Damn.
But how was such a mistake even a thing? Maybe the sound mixer really wanted the DMC collab and was disappointed to know that the collab was MH.
Bonus: Other strange memes to cope with
No DMC collab so no Vergil but we get Vigil.
The DMCV music introduced Relocation Algorithm where Passenger's back can be seen. He had a bunch of DMC memes, especially the ones made by Reno D in his showcase videos.
