Finale

After weeks of qualifiers, battles between the very best in the game, and more than a few OOC victims, across all regions of Arknights, a winner has been crowned!  Your most heartfelt applause please, for the very first Skywalking Global League #1 champion Vaporvenus of the Simplified Chinese (SC) server with a final score of 3242!

Their opponent in the finals match was Soup, also of the SC server, with a final score of 2437.  Vaporvenus took the early lead with a beautifully executed Gravestone clear that put Soup in the hotseat.  Unfortunately for Soup, a Concentration Disorder Mlynar was just too much to overcome.  He had some hope after a nail-biting Last Knight clear, with Emergency Fire and Water Union giving the potential for some bonus points, but a supercharged Spot triggered an exploding spider early and Izumik proved to just be too much.

The Korean (KR) and Traditional Chinese (TC) servers also had very strong showings, with Hijkstuv of KR and Toby of TC both making it to the semi-finals.   In total, three SC players, three TC players, and two KR players made the playoffs.  The original SC server is the biggest and tends to dominate the endgame scenes, so this is a great performance by the global crowd!

If you haven't watched any of the contest yet, I would highly encourage you to, especially if you have any interest at all in the Arknights endgame.  These clears are all truly impressive and well worth your time.  The insight provided by the EN casters is very insightful if you're looking to learn how these endgame players tend to think.  Lungmen Dragon's has all of it on their Youtube channel, as well as highlight videos.  The full playlist can be found here:  https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLLTLZagR1VUv9OfvSt5t0E1nhO-VeXUoU

The Gamepress team here would like to extend our most sincere thanks to the Lungmen Dragons and all their crew working behind the scenes to make this event possible from the EN side (many of whom also provide feedback and insights for our own content), as well as all of the sister organizations on the other regions.  This event was a truly remarkable feat given the barriers involved, and the content and competition we all got to see and take part in was very worthwhile.  Big kudos to everyone involved!

Survey

One last thing, Lungmen Dragon's has a survey available for how they can improve things going ahead. If you watched any of the tournament, please take a moment and check out the survey here or using the QR code below: https://forms.gle/ejvFvwhdf9q9J3bh8
