Quick Evaluation
+ Bonus damage on Stunned targets and bonus physical block when there is a high tile behind or to the side of Blitz
+ long range basic attacks and ability to attack drones
+ S1: Good AOE stun and silence with a short cooldown. Decent sized AOE and at m3 can be used immediately after deployment.

Operator Overview
"Rainbow member, codename Blitz. Give me the order, and I'll slap this shield into the target's face!"
Elias Kötz, codename Blitz, is one of the Rainbow 6 members who has been signed onto Rhodes Island for a limited time after the Watchtower 33 incident. Known among his teammates for being silly and optimistic, quick with a joke as well as a flashbang, Blitz has taken to Rhodes Island fairly well… although the state of technology in the Arknights world has left him a bit baffled. Regardless, he’s doing his best as a 5* Normal Defender for Rhodes Island, one who focuses on disabling enemies with Stuns and Silences.
Blitz is the first gun-wielding Defender since Liskarm, which means he has a two-grid-long attack range instead of the usual 0-grid attack range of a Normal Defender. His Talent, Shielded Shooting, makes this increased range more important: Blitz prioritizes attacking Stunned enemies and has increased ATK when hitting them.
Obviously this works great with other Operators who can Stun enemies, but Blitz can also do it himself with his Skills. His S1, Flash Shield, Stuns and Silences all enemies in an area in front of him, and at max Skill Level, it can be used immediately upon deployment. Meanwhile, his Shield Bash Skill inflicts Stun on all enemies Blitz is Blocking, then buffs his own ASPD and the bonus ATK he gets from his Talent for a few seconds. With Shield Bash active, Blitz can output some impressive damage for a Defender.
Stuns are very powerful, so Blitz’s focus on them gives him a lot of general-purpose utility. However, the trade-off is that Blitz lacks any boosts to his personal survivability, other than the unreliable Physical Block from his Talent 2. Since Defenders are often employed to Block and survive multiple enemies, this is a bit of a drawback. Furthermore, Blitz’s S2 has poor uptime and his S1 can only be used 4 times per deployment, so choosing when to use his Skills is very important. It’s clear that tactical positioning and timing are vital for using Blitz. If you can bring both of these qualities to the field, then Blitz’s explosive shield-bashes should serve you well indeed.

Built for crowd control and DPS. Most new players will be better served with defensive oriented blockers, and can look at developing him later if/when they are looking to increase their tactical options.

Blitz isn’t a particularly meta general-use operator, but his S1 has an absolute ton of value if you are interested in more Advanced content, and its Masteries are very important. S1 stuns everyone in a wide range for a long time on a very short cooldown, which makes him an important part of many stall strategies, despite only having four uses per deployment. Mastery is important to that role, improving pretty much every aspect of the skill, as well as making his first activation instantly helidroppable. Although Blitz is ungraded, his S1 Mastery is essential if you're interested in him or those strategies. His S2 is also noteworthy, though its uses are much less common.

Increase Trust to 50.Owing to the inadequacy of records common across Team Rainbow's Operators, we have determined it best not to pry too deeply into their pasts. Evaluating solely from a combat perspective, Blitz excels in close-range physical altercations and firefights, having been assessed via multiple simulations in street and indoor settings and receiving comparatively formidable scores. Based on this, we can speculate that Blitz was already an expert at handling urban incidents prior to his arrival at Rhodes Island.
Blitz is adept at grasping the small and subtle nuances of language, and within no time at all since arriving at Rhodes Island, we observed him able to fluently communicate with others.
Each member of Team Rainbow brings to the table their own set of specialized skills. That said, given they have not formalized any long-term contract with Rhodes Island, it would be advised not to call on them for too many missions.

Increase Trust to 150.Due to his natural linguistic abilities, Blitz has already grasped three or four our most commonly used languages, his most well-versed one being Leithanian. 'It sounds just like the language of my home town. Very familiar, except with a completely different set of rules when it comes to grammar, characters, and spelling.'
Blitz was very eager to see what Leithanien was like, but after a Leithanian operator showed him some pictures and described what Leithanian cities were like, he became somewhat puzzled and perplexed.
'This could be a fantasy city plucked out of the Middle Ages, couldn't it?!',
so he said.

Promotion Record
Upgrade to Elite LV2.The Engineering Department has repaired and retrofit Blitz's item of equipment denoted as the G52-Tactical Light Shield. Major upgrades were improvements to its material composition and work done on its flash installation.
The upgrade process itself went smoothly. The Engineering Department had six or seven different materials at their disposal which would fit Blitz's requirements. All he had to do was make the choice and we got it done instantly for him.
As for the flash installation, knowing Blitz is unable to use Originium Arts, I went for a traditional method, converting stun grenades into ammunition and mounting that to the shield's fittings. Give it a pull, it flashes off, boom.
But I did still install a high-power Originium Spotlight model as well. Miss Closure pitched in to help design the accompanying energizer module for it, and no, we didn't suddenly forget Blitz couldn't use Originium Arts. It's part of why we adopted a modular approach to the whole installation's assembly. Makes it so you only need to work by parts to run kit maintenance and repairs on the whole thing. Up there as the most complicated bit of Originium equipment I've worked on this whole year. Only drawback is... the parts are kinda expensive. Operator Blitz's gonna need to deal with that one himself.
Honestly, I wonder if I should apply for a patent for this design...
