Quick Evaluation

+ A Trapper Specialist that can either Stun or Bind enemies for a short duration
+ Cheap and easy to use traps
+ Good synergy with other operators that gain bonus damage against Stunned targets
+ S2: While the Bind duration is short, this can deal a decent burst of quick damage against low DEF enemies. Greatly benefits from any source of ATK buff since it deals multiple Physical hits at once.
- Relatively short crowd control duration on skills
- S2: Requires target to be in range of Frost to be effective, limiting trap placement. Low base ATK and multiple hits of low damage multiplier means that a lot of her damage will be mitigated by enemy DEF.

Operator Overview

“Deploying Welcome Mat.”

Tina Lin Tsang, codename Frost, is one of the Rainbow 6 members who has been signed onto Rhodes Island for a limited time after the Watchtower 33 incident. Quiet, methodical, and detail-oriented to a fault, Frost shows little interest in anything except her work and the great outdoors. During her time at Rhodes Island, she has been a regular fixture at the workshop, building new types of wilderness survival tools and various kinds of traps—especially her signature “Welcome Mats,” which are basically giant mousetraps. As a 5* Trapper Specialist, the Welcome Mats are Frost’s preferred weapons, used to Stun and Bind her enemies.

Frost gets her Welcome Mats from her Talent, which is appropriately called Welcome Mat. Frost gets a certain number of Welcome Mats at the start of a map and slowly recovers them over time; the Mats are set on the ground (albeit only on spaces that do not already have an enemy on them), trigger when an enemy walks over them, and do not count toward the deploy limit. If equipped with her S1, Trap Deployment, Welcome Mats will damage and Stun their victim. With her S2, Incapacitated Prey, the traps become more complicated. They still deal damage and inflict an ailment—in this case, Bind—but if the Welcome Mat was placed within Frost’s attack range, then she will immediately attack the enemy that triggered the trap, dealing bonus damage with each shot.

One of the big weaknesses of the Trapper Specialist archetype so far has been their very low ATK, which limits their ability to damage enemies. Frost has more damage potential than some members of the archetype thanks to Incapacitated Prey, but since the damage from Incapacitated Prey is dealt across multiple hits, it’s noticeably blunted by enemy DEF. Frost may be an excellent hunter, but Incapacitated Prey isn’t going to be bringing down the big game anytime soon—and don’t forget that many bosses are immune to conditions such as Bind and Stun. Frost is very much a team player: her role is to set up a lethal welcome for all the small fry on the field so the rest of the team can concentrate on the big guys that Frost is less equipped to handle.

Newbie Tier List Explanation

S1 is good for Stuns. S2 is good for taking out small fry.

Skill Discussion

Skill
Mastery
Story
Advanced
Roguelike
S2M3 B- B B

Frost is a damage focused trapper which is a problem since the other 5★ trapper, Robin, is control oriented which is much more useful for what the class does. There is ultimately little reason to raise Frost if you have Robin who is a freely available. Additionally, like Robin, Frost won't appeal to a lot of players. She is a high effort, high reward unit which for a lot of people is simply not worthwhile.

Now that said, if you missed Robin, favor meme comps, or simply like Frost better, than her S2 Mastery is quite valuable. The reduced SP cost especially makes trappers much easier to use. Stick with S2 though as the stun on S1 is just not that useful on trappers since traps cannot be placed below enemies and so can't be used to interrupt attacks. Plus the duration increase on S1M3 is rather anemic for the cost.

One of the members of Team Rainbow, Frost is a firm, focused and energetic individual adept at combat in outdoor environments.
She mainly uses modified mechanical traps named 'Welcome Mats.' Through strategic placement, they can obstruct the enemy and provide tactical support to the entire team.

Operator Tina, codename Frost. A member of Rainbow Six, and one of the witnesses to the 'Watchtower 33' incident, Frost registered with Rhodes Island as a cooperative party following the incident.
The members of Team Rainbow are mostly reluctant to reveal their past, which we will not object to given that our partners have the right to secrecy regarding their internal information.
As with the other members of Team Rainbow, operator Frost has extremely comprehensive combat experience, far surpassing the average operator in various fields including teamwork. Based on the report submitted to the HR department, operator Frost seems to have participated in numerous outdoor rescue missions and is a talented wilderness survival specialist.
However, please note that the members of Team Rainbow are only working with us on a temporary basis and are not formal employees of Rhodes Island. They still have many things they are busy with, so please do not rely overly much on their strength.

Without a doubt, Frost is an experienced hunter, yet she is even more than that. During her stay at Rhodes Island, Frost spent most of her time hunkered down in one of Rhodes Island's workshops, producing a full set of hunting equipment and six or seven models of hunting traps. She has a never-ending list of topics to discuss regarding hunting, and can often be found exchanging hunting experiences with operators from Sami and Kazimierz.

Be it stealth, tracking, or hunting... Operator Frost already exhibits excellent potential even without the use of Originium Arts. Combined with her extensive use of traps, this unique form of combat is very suited for operating on Terra's wastelands.
Incidentally, Miss Frost's cooking skills are not bad. I believe that even if she is lacking supplies, Miss Frost will still be able to find a way to survive in the wasteland.
Recently, she has been doing a detailed study on 'Rhodes Island Wilderness Survival Guide.' I'm not sure if the information in that book will be of use to her.

[Classified Log]
After much deliberation, I've decided to record the following as an archived record, since the notes and investigations here are born out of my own personal interest, even though I believe they are very much necessary.
The four operators of Team Rainbow are far more peculiar than we think, and many people are unaware that their living environment may in fact be vastly different from our own.
Though they are by definition armed personnel, each of them has received comprehensive higher education. I am astonished by the professionalism of Operator Blitz's linguistic knowledge, whereas operator Ash is skilled enough to converse fluently in two to three different languages with other people. I don't believe I need to mention the multitude of professional knowledge possessed by the other members of Team Rainbow.
They are not Infected, and have no prejudice against them. They were easily able to accept the idea of Rhodes Island extending help towards the Infected, and clearly expressed their sympathy towards them.
It's difficult to imagine what kind of country they came from.

Promotion Record

Upgrade to Elite LV2.
[Project and Equipment Transfer Log]
Within this period, operator Frost has produced a large number of equipment by herself, including various large hunting traps, some simple snares and several hunting knives.

She has also applied for the allocation of some Originium explosives. We have assessed operator Frost's knowledge on the relevant fields, and believe that she will be able to utilize these resources properly.
