+ Talent: Attacks lower enemy RES
+ S2: short cool-down and decent duration gives her nice consistent damage - S2: 75% decreased HP means she is very likely to get 1-shot if anything hits her
- You can have similar DPS in Amiya but without the HP penalty
Operator Overview
“Hello, I’m Hazel. I like relaxing work environments and employers who know not to bother me with questions.”
A white-furred Feline with a dark wardrobe and a darker past, Haze takes her codename from the dark fog she is able to generate around her foes. Utilizing this fog as a weapon, she acts as a DPS- and Debuff-focused Caster unit on the battlefield. She occupies a unique niche as a RES-debuffer, multiplying the effectiveness of the other Arts damage dealers in your team.
Haze is most noteworthy for her Talent, Black Mist, which reduces the RES of any enemy she hits for 1 second, buffing the DPS of your Arts Damage dealers. Her second Skill, Crimson Eyes, gives her an ATK and ASPD boost for a good duration with a decent cooldown. This results in additional direct DPS, as well as increased up-time of Black Mist. Pay attention, however: Crimson Eyes also slashes Haze’s max HP for the duration, leaving her extremely vulnerable to ranged attacks.
Unfortunately, there isn’t always room for Haze in your lineup. Haze is at her best when your team contains multiple sources of Arts damage AND there are enemies with high RES that are worth debuffing. Many Doctors will choose to raise free 5* Caster Amiya instead, who has an easier time pulling her weight on a variety of maps. However, Haze is cheaper to raise than Amiya, and Amiya’s Skills can be hard to use. If you’re not a fan of Amiya, or if your strategies tend to revolve around deploying lots of Arts Operators, then Haze might be the perfect Caster for your needs.

Note: This unit does not have Mastery grades. This means the unit is generally not one worth spending the resources of Mastery on. However this write-up should help with skill selection, should you want to use the unit regardless.
Like many 4★s, Haze is not a bad unit despite lacking a Mastery grade. However, her role does not require extra investment, either. Most players won't get any value out of her beyond a mid-to-high level E1 with SL7, so extra investment is purely a luxury. Even if you lack higher-rarity options, Click is the better low-rarity choice. However, if you do want to go that extra mile with Haze, S2 is the obvious choice with much higher DPS than S1 and an easy to work around drawback.
Is it worth it? Probably not. This Trading Post buff is one of the best available. However, her first Skill gives +30% to precious metals in the Factory, which is one of the best buffs for that Facility. Since all Base builds run more Factories than Trading Posts, and more Operators are available that share this Trading Post buff, most players are going to want to keep her in the Factory pumping out that gold.
Haze is an operator from Victoria, where she did time in an Infected quarantine lockup. She finally escaped after multiple attempts, eventually joining Rhodes Island under an alias.
Clinical Analysis
Increase Trust to 25.
Imaging tests for this Operator showed blurry outlines of internal organs with visible dark spots. Unusually high concentrations of Originium particles were present in her circulatory system, indicating infection and confirming her as Infected at this stage.
[Cell-Originium Assimilation] 16% No visible signs of crystal formation, but comparatively worse internal contamination.
[Blood Originium-Crystal Density] 0.36u/L Infection entering mid-stage, crystals are starting to enhance the host's Originium abilities.

Haze is able to cast Dark Fog Arts, a spell unique to her. The versatile mist can obscure vision, damage, kill, or enhance Haze's own abilities.

Haze has a habit of palming things from those around her. While she never steals money or keys, no trifling trinkets are safe with her around. Such trivial thievery wouldn't normally get anyone in serious trouble, but upon getting picked up for a minor infraction, her infection was discovered, so the authorities dumped her into a cell for the Infected.

Her prison was especially built to hold Infected criminals. To break out and breathe free once more, she had to climb the towering quarantine wall and evade all security measures in between. Haze is the only one to have managed such a feat, with the Victorian Police still hunting her to this day.

Haze makes no secret of her fondness for feline creatures. Even though these same cute animals led to her infection, she still feeds and cares for them. So it's no surprise Haze gets along with other Felines like Mousse.

A great deal of harm entails a greater deal of danger. Releasing Operator Haze from her shackles demands extreme caution; her Arts can deal mortal blows to the enemy, but while casting, she'll inevitably be too occupied to consider her own injuries from the enemy. At these times, the nimble silhouette of Operator Gravel can help to draw some firepower away from Haze, winning her even more time to cast. Be flexible in response to the battlefield situation.
