Complete a total of 5 battles; You must deploy your own Robin, and cause at least 2 enemies to fall in a pit in each battle |
Clear Side Story BI-EX-2 with a 3-star rating; You must deploy your own Robin, and cause at least 6 Icefield Arts Guards to fall in a pit |
RIIC Base Skills
Quick Evaluation
+ Her traps are plentiful, cheap to deploy, recharge fairly fast and take no deploy slots. Great if you like more active combat.
+ S2: The traps can have up to large push force, which can be used to knock enemies into pits from anywhere in the map or stall enemies without being in range of retaliation
+ S1: Binds enemies, great for stalling strategies since you can place a long path of these and delay big enemies for a long time.
= S2: To reach large push strength requires M3
- Low base ATK. Even with the high damage multipliers on her skills her traps don't do very high damage on their own
Operator Overview
All of Robin’s mental energy is taken up by one single goal: finding enough money to pay for her dying father’s exorbitant medical bills. This is certainly an issue that would dominate any young girl’s time and energy, and poor Robin has been struggling with it for many years—ever since her parents got divorced and she became responsible for her father’s care. Fortunately, she’s been able to find work at Rhodes Island to pay the bills. She’s been trained in martial arts, but her real calling is as a 5* Traps Specialist, setting ground-based traps that inflict Bind or Knockback on her unsuspecting opponents.
Robin’s trap-based fighting style focuses on her Talent, “Clip” Specialist, which grants her a certain number of traps per map that she can set on the field for a small DP cost. Traps are set on the ground, trigger when an enemy walks over them, slowly recover in number over time, and do not count toward the deploy limit. What they do when they are triggered, however, depends on Robin’s equipped Skill. Her first Skill, Binding “Clip”, does a large amount of Physical damage and inflicts Bind, holding the victim in place for a few seconds. In contrast, Launching “Clip” does even more Physical damage and Pushes the target away from the trap site, potentially sending them over a cliff to their doom.
Although Robin herself is a ranged unit, her traps can only hit ground units. Furthermore, low base ATK means that she heavily relies on the bonus damage and special effects from her traps to contribute to a battle. This can be a problem, since Pushing is very map-dependent and some enemies are immune to Bind. In addition, setting Robin’s traps takes a bit of foresight, since they cannot be placed on grids where an ally or an enemy is already standing. Once your target is standing in one place (i.e., when Blocked by another Operator) Robin can’t do a whole lot to hurt them anymore.
Though she’s not without limitations, Robin can still be an interesting asset in battle. She has a cheap DP cost (although her traps costing DP does offset this somewhat) and she can set her traps all across the map, letting her contribute in multiple locations at once. Bind doesn’t work on everything, but it’s very helpful for controlling most non-boss enemies, and Pushing can be used as a delaying tactic even when there are no instant-death pits at hand. Being a welfare unit makes her accessible to obtain and get to max Potential, which doesn’t hurt either. If you’re a fan of approaching your enemies with underhanded, unorthodox methods, then you can get a lot of mileage out of Robin’s unique brand of subterfuge.
Newbie Tier List Explanation
Has crowd-control and Pushing utility, but takes investment and DP to accomplish either role.
Skill Discussion
S1M3 | B- | B | A- | |
S2M3 | C | B | B |
Trapmasters are high effort units that will not appeal to many players, but they are also very high reward for those willing to invest the resources and time. Many players will be fine skipping Robin entirely, but if you find her kit and playstyle appealing, you will want to prioritize Robin's Masteries quite highly. The reduced recovery time for her mines is extremely important to using Trapmasters effectively. Both skills are very good with valuable Masteries, but stick with S1 if you only intend to do one. S2 is capable of better overall stall since traps can be replaced when the enemy is pushed off of the tile, but it requires the enemy in question to be lightweight. Since bigger threats tend to be heavier, S2 will often be completely ineffective against the targets you'll actually want to stall.

Increase Trust to 50.Perpetually downcast between her brows, she gives the impression that much weighs on her mind, though she gives her own explanation for it—in keeping her household afloat, she often considers a great deal of things, and has gotten used to it.
Talking to her, you realize that she's just the same as a city girl who likes to be with people her age.
Archive File 2
Increase Trust to 100.Robin's father was in dire condition to say the least, and Rhodes Island was already hard-pressed to offer Robin treatment free of charge. There are too many suffering across this world, and Rhodes Island is no charity.
However, as long as both sides have ideas, then there is always some leeway for mediation. In the end, Rhodes Island issued for Robin a fairly particular contract—much longer work hours than other Operators, with a further predetermined cut of all of Robin's mission earnings paid automatically to Rhodes Island, directly furnishing her father's medical fees.
In return, Rhodes Island would immediately provide her father treatment.

Increase Trust to 150.But if you set aside the effect of Oripathy, you'd find most people across the land living in peace, all the while enjoying the eclectic conveniences of modernization—it's a cruel thing, but if only the vast wealth of cities disregarded the conflict stemming from Infected and the like, wouldn't things seem so peaceful?
Not to tread a time-worn supposition again; the point is that a portion of Rhodes Island's operators have, owing to their years of combat experience, been rather long estranged from modern life.
This is no good thing; a certain amount of recreation is indispensable, and Rhodes Island hardly restricts its operators' private lives. Yet, people continually lapped by the fire of conflict find it no easy thing to return to everyday life. Their greatest joys will often be confined to liquor, music, reading, and sleep.
People like the ever-freewheeling Chief Engineer Closure are few and far between across Rhodes Island, and on more than one occasion she's been frustrated at not finding someone of like mind to have fun watching movies and soaps together.
Robin's arrival alleviated one of her problems; after all, just as the first record states, Robin is by no means naturally gloomy—she was undeniably an open, cheerful city girl in the past, and her greatest hobby happens to be watching movies.
Archive File 4
Increase Trust to 200.At the time of his divorce, the option to go with her mother was wholly open to Robin, but she chose to stay by her father's side in the end.
She says that even though her father became so violent, easy to enrage, she still remembers how he used to be so gentle. So she opted to bear her father's hysteria, all the while heading out alone, earning money by herself to keep the house going.
In spite of her relatively light build, she looked up to the robust, talented protagonists she'd seen since childhood in movies, and so when times at home were good, she took martial arts classes, and by her own efforts built up a good physique, as well as impressive combat skill for any ordinary person. Though adulthood came and she was nothing close to a hero who could plumb Paradise and Inferno alike, it did streamline finding herself a job.
She first tried to pursue mental labor, but she quickly realized such work couldn't support her father's spendthrift habits. Afterwards, she began seeking all sorts of physical work, and ultimately found a decent job as a bodyguard.
The job, however, was barely enough to maintain their livelihood, and she still sought better-paying work all throughout. Moreover, Robin has made it clear that during that period, how dangerous the work was no longer mattered much to her, as long as it could make any money.
Indeed, she never imagined it'd be a turning point from where she'd meet Mountain and Silence, and eventually come to Rhodes Island.
In the end, even if her father can recover with Rhodes Island's aid, even greater problems will sooner or later arise should he fall back on his older self-abandoning ways, and it's clear that Robin would be powerless against them.
Though it often doesn't end well when outsiders interfere in these types of domestic affairs, Robin herself has turned to the Doctor and asked for help, so it should be feasible at the least for the Doctor to offer her some suggestion of direction.
We hope for a day when things can improve for her.
Promotion Record
Upgrade to Elite LV2.Anthony raised something with me, concerning Robin's mid-jailbreak 'betrayal.'
He knows of it, Kafka knows, and in order to explain the jailbreak's events, he's told Silence and Mayer of it. Beyond that, though, he hasn't gone out of his way to tell Domma or Pinecone, and he hopes the two of them will never, ever know the jailbreak saw something like it happen.
He also hopes, if there comes a day when he's made known to the world, that this specific matter isn't raised.
I have no reason to refuse.
That said, Robin still seems to be taking it quite deeply to heart, and this I can't help with. We can only watch to see if she, herself, can move on from it.

Talk 1 | Doctor. You always seem busy with work. Don't you have any hobbies? Me, I like seeing old movies people don't really remember. |
Talk 2 | Truthfully, I learned how to fight because of this movie I saw when I was young. Main character used all these knives and homemade traps, and I thought it was really cool, so I started learning myself. My knives here, they're actually the same kind as the ones in that movie. |
Talk 3 | In Columbia, anything can be bought with money. It sounds great, maybe, until you turn it around. Without money, nothing's yours at all. |
Talk after Promotion 1 | Rhodes Island feels just like a company in a movie. Medical corp on the outside, actually a private military underneath. Operating to save more and more people... feels pretty cool. |
Talk after Promotion 2 | Doctor, do you think I come off gloomy to others? ...Uh, I didn't used to be like this. It was ever since my pop got the way he did, and I had to start worrying about keeping the family afloat. *Sigh*... |
Talk after Trust Increase 1 | I don't hate Anthony. If we have to talk about the past, I think my pop's to blame too. And honestly, I thank Anthony. If he weren't where he was, I might've done something by now I could never take back. |
Talk after Trust Increase 2 | Pop never understood. Mom didn't leave because we had no money. It was 'cause his temper got worse every day. I've thought about if I went with Mom instead, but Pop used to be... so nice to me. |
Talk after Trust Increase 3 | Doctor, there's times I'm following you, and I ease up so much I forget my own stuff. I have the money for treating my pop's illness now, but he's got troubles, and I can't cure that just on my own... Doctor, could you help me? |
Idle | So you drop right where you are when you're tired too, Doctor... |
Onboard | Nice to meet you, Doctor. I'm a new Operator. Robin's the name. I've got money issues, so if it's okay with you, you can send me to do whatever. |
Watching Battle Record | Intense. Feels just like I'm watching an action movie... |
Promotion 1 | Huh? I got a raise so quick...? That's great. Thank you, Doctor! |
Promotion 2 | I never stuck with my old jobs for very long. The company itself had problems, or it was something with my pop... This time, it feels like I'll be able to stick with Rhodes Island. |
