Operator Overview

This quiet, sleepy-headed researcher may seem unreliable, but she is quite the versatile and focused worker when she sets her mind to something. Silence is an excellent single-target Healer that can greatly increase the healing versatility of any squad by providing an additional AoE healing option.
Silence’s Talent, Booster Injection, increases the Attack Speed of all other Medics when she is placed, enabling faster healing that could be vital to saving a defensive line. However it is her second Skill, Medical Drone, that sets Silence apart from all other Healer Operators. This Skill allows her to place a Medical Drone for 5 DP on any open tile on the map to provide AoE healing for 10 seconds in a 3x3 tile radius. The Drone is untargetable, does not count toward the deploy limit, and heals for a significant amount for the duration that it is out. The versatility provided by this Skill is invaluable, and can open up many novel approaches for difficult missions or situations.
Silence’s main weakness is that her Drones cost DP to place and only last 10 seconds, so they are not an complete replacement for a dedicated AoE Healer in missions or situations that require prolonged, continuous AoE healing (such as maps like AP-1 to AP-5 with the stage hazard, Poison Haze). That being said, the DP cost of her drones is fairly low, and will often not be an issue, especially later in stages. Versatility is Silence’s forte and she does this job efficiently and effectively. Her S2 opens up a wide array of options, making her a welcome addition to any squad composition.

Note: This unit does not have Mastery grades. This means the unit is generally not one worth spending the resources of Mastery on. However this write-up should help with skill selection, should you want to use the unit regardless.
Among units that lack a Mastery grade, Silence is the best of the bunch. She isn't off-meta at all, really. Unfortunately, she has abysmal Mastery gains, on top of a terrible E2 promotion. The drone's healing is based on her level and not her skill, so an expensive 5★ Mastery gains you only a few seconds of cycle time. That will only matter if you're trying to do some very extreme stuff, so she is safe to leave at SL7.
Base Skill Analysis
At E2 Silence gains a 25% Factory buff, which is a pretty good buff. Silence is an ST Medic whose drones give her a unique range niche, but she lacks any utility other than healing, which causes her to fall behind other ST Medics in the late game that have additional utility (like Shining or Warfarin). If you do decide to E2 her, you will get a nice Factory buff.
