Sharpened by Flame: Kirin R Yato
- [Sharpened by Flame] is a [Triumphant Hunt] Limited headhunting.
- Operators above can only be obtained in [Hunting Triumph] headhunting and won't join any [Standard Headhunting].
- Players are guaranteed to get [Kirin R Yato] within the first 120 pulls.
Should You Pull?
YES. This is what everyone has been saving for since Texalter. Kirin Yato is stupidly powerful. Rathalos Noir Corne is not, but that doesn’t matter; Kirin Yato is more than strong enough for the both of them.
- All Operators on this banner are limited. If you want to pull them, it must be on this banner.
- The mechanics of the banner are fairly advantageous. 120 pulls guarantees Kirin Yato, which is lower than the 300 pity for most limited banners.
- Pulls made on this banner DO NOT carry over to other headhunting banners in the future. If you make 80 pulls on this banner and the banner is rerun in the future, making 40 more pulls on the rerun banner will NOT guarantee that you pull Kirin Yato. As such, if you’re going to go in on this banner, it’s best to prepare to go all-in.
Remember, you should not pull on this banner just because the Operators are limited. Be aware of what these Operators do and whether you really want them before you make your final decision about how much to pull. (That being said, if you care about the Arknights meta at all, you really want to pull on this banner.)
Keep in mind that all players will be receiving a free 10-pull on this banner and a 5★ or higher Operator is guaranteed in the first 10 rolls. So that’s pretty cool!
Quick Overview
Fast-Redeploy/ Executor Specialist
+ Stupidly high offensive output on a Fast-Redeploy timer
+ Bonus damage from both her Talents
+ S2 delivers staggering burst damage to the tile in front of Yato after she is deployed
+ S3 does splash damage to enemies (ground or air) across multiple tiles
+ S3 also makes Yato invincible to most damage and effects for its duration
- Usual archetype weaknesses: Mediocre base stats, Skills activate “On Deployment” only
- As a limited unit, increasing her Potential can be difficult and/or expensive
- S2 increases Yato’s Taunt level, and she can’t really afford to take the hits (although since she’s Fast-Redeploy, at least she can be redeployed quickly if she gets killed)
- S3 can be tricky to set up well, due to the way its distance (and thus damage) is calculated
+ Usual archetype strengths: Extremely high HP and ATK, recovers HP when attacking an enemy, ASPD increases as HP falls
+ E0 Talent increases ASPD and Tenacity as Noir Corne’s HP falls
+ E1 Talent grants a stacking ATK buff over time as Noir Corne attacks without a Skill active
+ Both Skills deal multiple hits, each of which recovers HP from the Musha Guard Trait
+ S1 puts Noir Corne into a counterattack stance that blocks damage, inflicts damage back upon being attacked, and grants a Talent buff stack
+ S2 consumes Talent stacks and inflicts several hits on a nearby enemy
= Has Block-1 (typical of Enmity Guards)
= S1 gains Talent stacks more quickly, while S2 consumes them to deal more damage; since he can’t equip both, he has to pick
- Usual archetype weaknesses: Can't be healed directly (although regen does work) and has a high DP cost
- S1 needs to be timed (to block attacks) and is best when it can kill an enemy upon activation, so it can be finicky to use well
- S2 has no added survivability (other than activating the Musha Trait)
Kirin R Yato
Kirin R Yato has put aside her usual mask to don the Kirin R armor from Monster Hunter, which apparently has come with a stupendous power upgrade. She drops onto the field as a Fast-Redeploy Specialist, unleashing her colossal power nigh-instantaneously as either a blistering blizzard of blows or a searing stream of strikes that slides several squares across the stage.
Rathalos S Noir Corne
Rathalos S Noir Corne has put aside his usual mask for… another mask (at least until E2). Ah well, we can’t have everything. Neither can Rathalos S Noir Corne—he can pick between deflecting incoming attacks and retaliating with multiple attacks, or directly striking with even more attacks. Either way, though, Rathalos Noir Corne gets to smash enemies to a bloody pulp and heal multiple times from doing so.
