Saga is a 6★ Skill-DP-Recovery Vanguard that inflicts [Critically Wounded], a new status effect for Arknights, that reduces enemy movement speed, makes them unable to be blocked, and causes them to automatically die after a certain period. When defeated, they grant SP to the attacker. Her Talent inflicts this status effect when dealing lethal damage, essentially creating SP-gain bombs for herself or her allies. Her Skills all generate DP, with S2 and 3 attacking multiple targets and increasing her damage potential.
Talents and Skills
Archetype: Skill-DP-Recovery Vanguard
Trait: Blocks 2 enemies
Talent: When Saga deals lethal damage, she leaves the enemy with 1 HP and inflicts [Critically Wounded] to it. [Critically Wounded]: Reduce movement speed and cannot be blocked. Will die automatically after a certain period. When defeated, grants SP to the attacker. Saga will not attack [Critically Wounded] enemies
Skill 1: After skill activation, immediately gain a certain amount of DP
Skill 2: After skill activation, immediately gain a certain amount of DP. Deal a certain amount of physical damage to multiple ground enemies within a cross area, and defeat all [Critically Wounded] enemies within range. Can hold charges
Skill 3: During skill activation, gradually gain a certain amount of DP. Increase Attack Interval, ATK, Attack Range, and attack multiple enemies equal to Block Count. When the target has less than half HP, perform an additional attack
First Impressions
Note: These are first impressions and based on conjecture since we don’t know the exact details.
Saga is not the first 6 Star Skill-DP-Recovery Vanguard (the other being Siege), but her kit definitely provides a unique functional option for this Archetype. She will be the first Operator to be able to inflict the [Critically Wounded] debuff, essentially turning enemies into SP bombs. Used (aka killed) appropiately, these SP bombs could potentially quickly ramp Skill usage for other Operators (or herself using S2). Seems like this could be used by other Vanguards to quickly ramp DP gain at the beginning of maps, or as an SP engine for an Operator with mid/high skill SP costs for multiple skill uses.
Her S1 will almost certainly be the standard DP generation Skill all Vanguards of this Archetype have. Her S2 and S3 both focus on damage, specifically multi-target, which is perfect synergy with her Talent and usage of creating multiple SP bombs. S2 allows her to kill her SP bombs herself (normally she does not target them) for potential skill spam. S3 ramps up her attacking power and range, hits multiple targets, and does extra damage to lower HP enemies.
Overall, she seems like an interesting addition to the Vanguard Archetype, and could enable some interesting strategies for Doctors that can exploit her Talent.
