Executor Alter Banner Information
Should You Pull?
Probably not.
Executor the Ex Foedere is very strong, yes, but he’s awkward to use and requires his Module to be worth the investment. And even with all those resources, he’s still replaceable or even outclassed by other, already-available options. If you like him as a character, you probably won’t be disappointed in his performance, because he can be VERY strong, but otherwise it may be preferable to save your resources for more reliable units in the future.
As with all banners, a 5★ or higher Operator is guaranteed in the first 10 rolls. Should you pull just for that? Definitely not. Spuria is probably the worst 5★ yet released. She is so bad that it’s not even worth the risk to try for Cantabile, even though Cantabile is still pretty good.
Quick Overview
+ Usual archetype strengths: Wide attack range for a melee unit (1x3); true AoE attacks; recovers HP for every enemy he hits, up to a cap of his Block count
+ E1 Talent has a chance to give his attack an extra hit; the chance increases when he spends ammo during a Skill activation
+ E2 Talent gives his Skills more ammo based on how many Laterano Operators are currently deployed (which indirectly buffs his E1 Talent as well)
+ S1 increases his attack range and gives him flat DEF ignore
+ S2 increases ATK, DEF, and Block Count, as well as giving him a chance to dodge Physical attacks and regain ammo when doing so
+ S3 increases ATK and attack range, with additional ATK the more ammo he spends and bonus HP recovered upon attacking; he will also deal Physical damage to all enemies he attacked once the Skill duration ends
= Has Block-2, which is fine for actually Blocking but does limit his ability to heal himself
- Usual archetype weaknesses: Can't be healed directly (although regen does work)
- Requires a lot of investment to be as good as other options
- All his Skills use [When Attacking] SP recovery, so they can be slower to charge than you think (although his E1 Talent does help him build SP more quickly, when it triggers)
- RNG-reliant; he really needs to proc his extra attacks to build SP and maximize his DPS, and his S2 does not have a very reliable dodge chance
- Takes a while to ramp up, even while a Skill is active, since he needs to spend ammo to increase his Talent activation chance (and his bonus ATK for S3)
+ Talent may cause random useful effects when attacking (attack hits twice, attack briefly Stuns, or attack ignores part of the enemy’s DEF)
- As per the Geek Specialist Trait, constantly loses HP over time (and she has no self-healing)
- The random nature of her Talent means you can’t depend on its effects, especially because it doesn’t even activate 100% of the time
- Two of the three effects for her Talent simply buff Spuria’s own DPS, which is not very high in the first place
- S1 is a “When Deployed” passive and Spuria does not have fast redeployment time, so its functional “cycling” is terrible
- S2 only works on Sniper allies and the effects on the ATK and ASPD buff are incredibly weak
- S2’s buff comes with the downside of possibly self-Stunning the attacking units, so it can be an active detriment to both Spuria and whoever she “buffs”
+ Usual archetype strengths: A ground-deployed Vanguard with ranged attacks and a (slightly) increased attack range; faster redeployment time
+ Talent gives ATK while Blocking or ASPD when not Blocking
+ S1 triggers when deployed; for a short duration, Cantabile has greatly increased ATK and gains DP with every attack she makes
+ S2 increases Cantabile’s ATK and ASPD, gives her Camouflage, and causes each of her attacks to generate DP
+ S2 uses the ammo system, so the attacks can be made at any time and still generate DP
- Low DEF
- S1 cannot be reactivated without withdrawing and redeploying Cantabile
- S2’s Camouflage is cancelled if Cantabile starts Blocking an enemy
Executor the Ex Foedere
Executor the Ex Foedere shakes up the Reaper archetype by bringing his trusty shotguns to the battlefield instead of the scythe weaponry that most Reapers wield. (Maybe he started playing Overwatch.) The more Executor-Alter fires his shotguns, the more powerful he becomes, as he drains health from his enemies and increases his chances to fire two shots at a time.
Spuria
Spuria is a whimsical inventor who seems to have issues with listening to authority and following instructions. Presumably to get rid of her, Laterano loaned her services to Rhodes Island, where she immediately made a stir by blowing up her luggage so it didn’t need to go through a security check. She’s equally ready to blow up enemies with her erratic-but-damage-increasing Talent… and herself, with her constant HP loss and the double-edged sword of her S2 buffs.
Cantabile
Cantabile is reluctant to use her talents for violence, but she has decided that Rhodes Island is a cause worth fighting for. Her unique abilities gave birth to the Agent Vanguard archetype, who attacks at range, redeploys quickly, and generates DP when attacking enemies.
