RIIC Base Skills
Quick Evaluation
+ Talent: Grants a small boost to Medic operators when deployed with another Medic
+ A Wandering Medic can make some maps with troublsome Elemental damage much easier
+ Much wider attack range than normal Medics.
+ S1: Good boost of healing with a small SP cost and holds charges. Good for general content where you take consistent or small bursts of elemental damage. Good HPS.
+ S2: Reduces elemental damage received and increases ASPD substantially. Good against bosses that deal elemental damage or high elemental burst periods.
= The tradeoff for bigger range and elemental healing is generally weaker healing than a regular medic, especially outside of skills.
- S2: high SP cost, long cooldown
Operator Overview
Mulberry is actually a member of a Catastrophe rescue organization who is on loan to Rhodes Island as part of a human resources exchange program. Being a shy, timid introvert, Mulberry had trouble fitting in with Rhodes Island at first. However, when Operators from Yan County coaxed her to open up, they found that Mulberry is capable of holding her own when she needs to. After all, a coward wouldn’t be able to rescue civilians during the chaos of a Catastrophe. Nor would a coward be able to stand her ground as a 5* Wandering Medic, healing HP and recovering Elemental Damage for allies within her large attack range.
Elemental Damage is a special kind of damage gauge that isn’t present on all maps. Some enemies/ terrain deal Elemental Damage, and when an Operator has taken a certain amount of it, negative effects are inflicted depending on the kind of Elemental Damage being received. (Examples are Neural Impairment from the Under Tides event or Erosion from the Dossoles Holiday event.) Because of her Trait as a Wandering Medic, Mulberry’s actions reduce the amount of Elemental Damage that an Operator has suffered. She can even use her action to “heal” Elemental Damage on an ally that is at full HP.
You can tell Mulberry is used to working in a group because of her Helper Talent, which increases the ATK of all allied Medics if there is at least one other Medic deployed other than Mulberry. Since Mulberry’s ATK influences the amount of Elemental Damage she can remove, this can be helpful when Elemental Damage is a big concern. Her Skills are even more helpful in this regard, as you might expect. Healing Mists, her S1, holds multiple charges and dramatically increases the healing (both HP and Elemental Damage) of Mulberry’s next action. This Skill’s short charge time actually results in pretty good HPS, making Mulberry a viable general-purpose healer despite her low base ATK. If you prefer preventative care, there’s her S2, Safe Zone. This Skill greatly reduces Mulberry’s attack interval and causes her healing to prioritize the ally in range with the highest Elemental Damage taken. It also reduces the amount of Elemental Damage that all allies in range take for the Skill’s duration, making it a great counter to particularly dangerous periods of incoming Elemental damage.
Wandering Medics are a useful archetype, but there are some flies in the ointment here. Most obviously, almost all of Mulberry’s utility is wasted on maps where Elemental Damage is not a concern. Also, Wandering Medics have ATK on par with an AoE Medic, but only heal one target at a time, so without Skills active, their healing can be quite low. On the other hand, Wandering Medics have an affordable DP cost and a wide attack range that can allow them to heal some formations that other Medics cannot. And of course, any time that your Operators are threatened by Elemental Damage, Mulberry is in her element, with exactly the tools for the job to get everybody to safety.
Newbie Tier List Explanation
Good healing and can help a lot with Elemental damage, which has the potential to be challenging to newer players still learning the game. The increased range can make deployment a little easier as well. Outside of Elemental damage, though, she falls behind the other top options.
Skill Discussion
S1M1 | Breakpoint | |||
S1M3 | A- | B- | A | |
S2M2 | A- | B+ | A+ |
The 5★ Wandering Medics are very valuable, especially in the Roguelike mode, and the choice between Mulberry and Honeyberry is an interesting one with proponents on both sides. Mulberry works better as a regular Medic with much better base healing, while Honeyberry is significantly better at the unique Elemental healing role but with fairly underwhelming normal healing. There is room for both, but that amount of investment into Medics is unpalatable for most people. Whichever you choose, both have well above average Masteries, especially for Medics which typically grade very low.
Mulberry has two good skills that split a somewhat typical burst vs consistency divide. This guide typically favors the burst skill in situations like this. However, in Mulberry's case, her value is primarily in her consistent S1. Her S1M1 breakpoint is very valuable and it is reasonable to stop there in the short term, but it should eventually be pushed to the full M3. At S1M3, Mulberry can consistently maintain S1 activations for almost 75% of her heals, which gives her the highest consistent, conditionless single target healing-per-second (HPS) in the game (others still do better in burst or under certain conditions).
Her S2 is still a valuable skill and worthwhile Mastery. For its duration, S2 has a better total effect against Elemental damage than Honeyberry does, but the long cooldown makes it much more situational. It also has far less necessary Masteries than S1, with her S2M3 being notably one of the worst upgrades for the price in the game. The interval reduction at M2 is valuable and worth pursuing in addition to S1M3, but the only reason to do S2M3 is for the sake of completionism.

Operator Mulberry situates for long periods in danger regions with high risk of infection. In spite of a relatively strong protective awareness and excellent grasp of treatment skills, she still requires regular examination to avoid her condition worsening.

Increase Trust to 50.Having been passed stringent tests and selection processes, there's no cause to doubt Mulberry's ability in her specialty field.
Archive File 2
Increase Trust to 100.This was no small issue, but fortunately, some Rhodes Island operators from Yan quickly picked up on the circumstances of this new girl—people from Yan always tend to be extremely close with others from the same region, and with everyone's encouragement, Mulberry finally took her first step, working up the courage to chat with a few Catastrophe Messengers staying at Rhodes Island.
And so long as a window for communication is left open, there's no need to worry.
Archive File 3
Increase Trust to 150.Whether in her teachers' or her family's eyes, the earnest, hard-working, clever and amenable Mulberry was a sweetheart who put others at ease. Not too individualistic, not quite outstanding, but meek, untroublesome, didn't overstep her bounds—the picture of a good child.
Mulberry's mother and father long had plans for their daughter's future; they hoped Mulberry would receive a sound and fine education, then find a safe, stable job, and live what, to an ordinary person, would be a calm and fulfilled life. But against everyone's expectations, the obedient-since-birth, rarely self-expressive Mulberry went against the norm. She didn't heed her family's arrangements, but instead, following her graduation, delivered her resume to 'Chun-qian' without telling her family, and went far away from home.
As one would imagine, this unprecedented rebelliousness of hers caused a huge commotion in her family. But just as Mulberry had written in her farewell letter to her parents, ever since witnessing the tragedy of a Catastrophe in her youth, she had secretly fostered her own ambitions, and only in this regard was she unwilling to defer to her elders' plans.
The girl summoned the greatest courage of her life, and set out to decide her future for herself.
Archive File 4
Increase Trust to 200.The resolve and self-confidence Mulberry displays during her work can surprise any operator working with her for the first time.
Mulberry's parents' expectations were for her to have a smooth and steady life, but with her Oripathy infection, such expectations are now wild dreams.
Perhaps, when leaving home, Mulberry felt discontent with her family's plans, and rebelled against their control. But after joining the relief squad, after wrapping herself in a standard sleeping bag and knowing the sensation of her extremities frozen numb; listening to the gale outside her tent, alone, too scared to even sleep the whole night; at the height of the wind's howls, furtively shrinking out of homesickness into her sleeping bag to weep, letting the sound of the wind cover her own sobs... after going through all that, her varieties of discontent, of complaints and rebellion, all dissipated into unimportance.
But happily, in her second year with the squad, Mulberry—gradually accustomed to the arduous work life—restored normal relations bit by bit with her family. One time while on her way to visit home, Mulberry witnessed her father, who had been so vehemently opposed to her joining a relief organization, holding a letter she'd sent, standing at the corner of his street, mentioning her name to the neighbors.
'This is work that saves people! Our girl's not scared of a hard time. Good on her!'
That proud look never shown to her before, spread across her ever-strict father's face, is a sight Mulberry reckons she'll remember forever.
Promotion Record
Upgrade to Elite LV2.Before she made the decision to leave home, Mulberry already understood that choosing to be a relief worker is to choose an inevitably trying, challenging way of life. Many disasters... especially Catastrophes that induce serious Originium calamity, not only gravely impact the lives of those who live in the disaster zone. Those who head in to make the rescue are also enduring one rigorous trial after another.
No matter how strictly you prepare gear in advance, things can slip through the cracks. Active year-round in Catastrophe zones, rescuing those affected, there are times workers even face a sudden second disaster. In a profession as hazardous as a relief worker's, Oripathy infection is very hard to avoid.
The moment you choose this line of work, you've already chosen to set own your safety aside.
Of course, this much is true for Mulberry.
Voice Lines
Appointed as Assistant | Doctor, I'll leave the files I sorted here. Oh, you don't have to thank me. I am used to it, and it's nothing difficult... Um, are you thirsty perhaps? Should I make you some tea? |
---|---|
Talk 1 | I'm not very good at speaking any languages other than Yanese. That's why I was a little scared at first and didn't talk much. But everyone's very friendly, and there are a lot of people from Yan here. Phew... it really puts my mind at ease. |
Talk 2 | Sorry to disturb you, Doctor, but would you happen to know where Provence and everyone else went? My family sent me some goodies from back home, and I thought I'd share some with them since they've been taking care of me... Oh, there are some for you too, Doctor. Please have a taste! |
Talk 3 | Doctor, could you help me look for my little dumpling? It's the small black-and-white doll. I thought I'd left it here, but I can't find it... *Whimpers*, please, I can't sleep at night without it. |
Talk after Promotion 1 | The rescue team has to deal with the Catastrophes a lot, so it's only a matter of time for us before we become infected. None of us reject anyone because of that. The crystallization on my body isn't very conspicuous, and it doesn't hurt even if you press down on it... Sometimes, I even forget that I have this on my body. |
Talk after Promotion 2 | When I first joined the rescue team, I wasn't very used to the climate or the food there. I'd get too homesick to fall asleep at night, and I cried to myself many, many times, but whenever I see the people we rescued, I start to think that maybe I can keep at it... |
Talk after Trust Increase 1 | Doctor, sorry to bother you... I've been studying Oripathy prevention techniques during Catastrophe relief, and Tsukinogi suggested that I come ask for your advice... Um... Sorry, am I being a bother? |
Talk after Trust Increase 2 | Uhh! Doctor, why would you sneak up on me like that? Huh? What am I holding? Oh, this is a letter I got from home. When I made the decision to leave, my parents were so angry that they said they would disown me, but there's a saying where I come from: Blood is thicker than water... |
Talk after Trust Increase 3 | When I got infected with Oripathy, I knew I probably wouldn't be able to live the peaceful life my parents wanted for me. I don't regret it, though... Besides, if I hadn't made my decision, I would never have met you or anyone else from Rhodes Island here and now, hehe. |
Idle | Doctor? Doctor? Sorry to bother you. Please lift your head up a little and sleep with the cushion. If you fall asleep like this, the letters from the report will get all over your face... |
Onboard | Hello, I'm a member of the Yan disaster relief organization 'Chun-qian,' dispatched here as an intern. My name is... Oh, I-I'm sorry. We need to use our codenames here, right? I'm terribly, terribly sorry. Please call me Mulberry. |
Watching Battle Record | Uhh..The mountain collapsed, and the ground crumbled...! They're not special effects from an action movie, are they? |
Promotion 1 | Huh? A promotion? Really? I get a salary from Rhodes Island as well as Chun-qian?! I... I'm so happy...! |
Promotion 2 | This time, I'm not doing this to help someone else, I'm doing it for myself... Doctor, thanks for always being there to cheer me on. Now, I'm sure that everything that I've done is truly meaningful. |
Added to Squad | I'll do my best to support everyone! |
Appointed as Squad Leader | Huh? Me as team captain? Ah... Are you sure? |
Depart | Okay, we'll head out right away... Everyone, please stay safe. We'll meet again once this is over. |
Begin Operation | Watch out, everyone! There's movement up ahead! |
Selecting Operator 1 | Safety goggles... Okay, I have mine on. Let's go! |
Selecting Operator 2 | Phew... Haah! Oh, I'm here! I-I'm not nervous! |

3-star Result | Phew, that wraps up the operation. Doctor, was I helpful? |
Sub 3-star Result | Wait! It's not safe that way... We have to do something. I'll go fetch them right away! |
