Should You Pull? Standard Pool Banner: SilverAsh and Angelina

Banner Information

This Standard Pool Banner features two amazing 6-star Operators: SilverAsh and Angelina. However, the 5-star pool is not the most appealing. Zima is one of the best skill-DP Vanguards, but Manticore and Cliffheart are rather niche yet useful units.

Quick Overview

SilverAsh
  • Ranged Guard
  • High damage
  • Decent attack boost to all other deployed Operators
  • Powerful AoE Skill 3 and defensive Skill 2
  • Can attack invisible units
  • Versatile - SilverAsh has the stats to take hits while dealing damage back to enemy forces. Being a ranged Guard, he has very flexible positioning and can be brought to any team.
Angelina
  • Slows incoming enemies
  • Versatile attack range
  • Low DP cost
  • Late bloomer - requires E2 to shine
  • Replacement for casters in maps that ban Caster Operators
  • AoE high-damage Skill 3 that Slows enemies as well
  • Small attack speed buff to all Operators
  • Angelina’s Skill 2 and 3 are quite different from other Operators due to the Skill locking down her attacks. Without the ability to attack, she relies on her Skills to do damage and slow enemies.
Zima
  • Tanky Vanguard due to her high DEF stat
  • Blocks 2
  • Her strength is compatibility with other Vanguards
  • Support Skill 2 - Zima gives all Vanguards a huge ATK and DEF boost and +1 DP on kill. This can be used to buff Vanguards and increase DP generation.
Manticore
  • Hidden when she is not attacking
  • Does not block so cannot be attacked by melee units
  • Innate Physical and Arts Dodge
  • AoE attacks every enemy in her range
  • Skill 2 adds Slow and Skill 3 adds Stun to her attacks
  • Very slow attack speed
  • Manticore employs guerilla tactics; after 5 seconds, she will hide until the next enemy comes.
Cliffheart
  • Pulls enemy units towards her with Skill 1 dealing Arts damage
  • Small increase in ATK and DEF when not blocking enemies
  • Her Skill 2 pulls multiple units, dealing true damage and Stunning the units she pulled.

Should You Pull?

This is a good opportunity to pull for SilverAsh, Angelina, or Zima if you do not have them already. Silverash’s insane DPS hard carries many maps without needing large amounts of support from other operators. Angelina is the best slow operator by far and can make many operations relatively easy. Lastly, Zima is one of the “Big Three” Vanguards, pairs especially well with other Vans, and will be useful for a long time to come.

If you already have the 6-star operators, the quick answer is no. Two of the 5-star Operators are very niche and will find limited uses on most maps. This is not one of the most enticing banners, so players can focus on saving Orundum for future banners instead.

SilverAsh

SilverAsh Elite 2

SilverAsh is an all-around great Ranged Guard with top of the line DPS who can either attack enemies from safety or demolish enemies in the frontline while simultaneously tanking their attacks. Bringing SilverAsh into any stage means quick and painless death for enemy waves.

Not only does he kill most enemies quickly, he does so with style. With his falcon perched on his shoulder and his flowing cape, SilverAsh is a “must get” for his fashion sense and edge.

Angelina

Angelina Elite 2

Angelina is the co-star Operator of this banner. Her slows and caster-like damage makes her great for many operations. She is often regarded as an AoE Caster with half the deployment cost and added Slows. Her Talents help out the entire team, healing them when her skill isn’t active and giving every Operator increased attack speed. Her Skill 3 has an additional effect where she lowers the weight of units making it easier to shift them, either via pulls or pushes. If you missed her on an earlier banner, this is a nice chance to grab her.

Zima

Zima Elite 2

Zima is a great defensive Vanguard. Once players learn to use Zima, they won’t go back. Her ability to take hits and Block 2 enemies helps stall out the first wave until she can receive backup from other Operators, and combining her with other Vanguards can turn them into a ferocious fighting force.

Similar Operators are the following:

  • Siege - higher damage and semi-tanky version of Zima, but she is a 6-star Operator
  • Texas - damage variant of Zima with added crowd control ability, built like paper and dies easily
  • Courier - Zima’s 4-star version, less tanky but also costs a little less to deploy

Zima is a great addition to any team. At max Trust, her defensive capabilities shoot up past many Guards. Her purpose is to support other Vanguards and hold the line until your main fighting force arrives.

Manticore

Manticore Elite 2

Manticore is the most unique Operator in this banner. Her ability to stay hidden from enemy units separates her from any other Operator, as does her extremely slow attack speed.

Manticore’s usage is extremely niche because of her very slow attack speed, relatively high DP Cost, and inability to block. Careful planning and skillful usage is required to bring out her best, and her range and skillset can often restrict her application. Her Skill 1 has a decent slow effect, and her Skill 2 has good damage output, especially at E2. She can be very effective if she can be placed where enemies must path through her range.

Cliffheart

Cliffheart Elite 2

Cliffheart is often regarded as a more expensive Rope. However, there are subtle differences when choosing which of the two to use. Cliffheart’s skill 1 does Arts damage while Rope’s skill 1 does physical damage.

Cliffheart’s second Skill is interesting but not necessarily useful. For example, players can place her facing the opposite direction to pull leaked enemies back into the team, giving the team more time to eliminate them, or delaying key targets until other units can arrive. Rope is often used over Cliffheart because Rope is cheaper to develop, and sufficiently satisfies the core Specialist role of “Pulling”, However, given thoughtful strategy and support, Cliffheart can offer some additional utility and can be extremely useful in some Operations.
