Arknights: [Golden Week] JP Livestream Recap!

JP has had its Livestream for the content updates coming on April 30th for Golden Week.  It seems unlikely at this point that EN will get a Livestream for this as well, but since JP and EN follow the same content pattern, these announcement can be taken as confirmation for EN content as well.

I'll include images and details of the stream in the article below, but here is a TLDR for those that are more interested in just the contents themselves:

• Contents will go live on April 30th.
• Content updates are almost exactly the same as the [Thank-You Celebration Part 1] for CN + the Amiya Promotion, so if you want more details, you can skip this page and go to those.
• The only things that were mentioned that were NOT in the CN TY Celebration were:
  • Adding a faster auto-story play option, and Some UI improvements.  These were added with the [Mansfield Break] event on CN, so we will be getting them a little earlier.  The full content updates for that patch can be found here.  It seems possible we'll be getting the other updates included in that patch as well, which included a buff to Brawler Guards, and the introduction of [Operator Records] and [Paradox Simulations]
  • Some new merchandise

Episode 8 - Roaring Flare will be arriving on 4/30.  The time for JP is announced as 16:00, but for EN launch time is typically 10:00

After this announcement, what followed was about an hour of story recap up to the current Global state.  Next up was a section on new merchandise, but since less players will be interested that, that section can be found at the end of this article.

• An option to run story auto at 2x speed

• UI update to the squad select screen that indicates by color if you are on Practice mode, normal mode, or Challenge mode.

• New time-limited annihilation stage [Kawalerielki Outskirts], which rotates
• New milestone goals which have one-time rewards (including weekly cap increase)
• Can obtain medals.
• After the map goes off rotation, it will be recorded into Hypothetical Combat Objectives.
  • Periodically, some of the objectives will be selected to generate a Simulated Annihilation, wherein players can obtain the corresponding medals and one-time rewards, however no Orundum will be given.

During the event, other than Annihilation stages, all stages will have a chance to drop the following:

• Emergency Sanity Sample (Can use to recover 10 sanity)
• Thank-you Celebration Supplies (Can use to obtain a random material)

This is a great time to farm 1-7 for rocks!

Ethan will be getting a free skin as part of a sign-in event:

During the event period, players will receive a daily mail with a Giftbox.

Giftbox details:

• Players will get 800 Orundum when opening the giftbox the first time
• Players will get random number (among 200,300,500,800) of Orundum in subsequent gift boxes

• It is not 100% clear which 6★ operators will be available to choose from with the Selector.  There is wording in the livestream that seems to imply that it is all 6 stars up to Phantom, excluding Limiteds.  However, the CN schedule has been different than the global schedule.  With the last selector ticket we had, the 6★ operators available to choose were the same as what CN had, despite difference in schedule at that time too.

• Players will be able to promote Amiya by satisfying certain conditions and completing specific stages.
• Promotion will allow Amiya to switch to an Arts Guard Form.
